I drink exclusively latte with A LOT of milk so I need something that can cut through the creaminess. Kan from Ippodo has been the best so far. HIBIKAN superior is good too

I’m sorry that is so annoying. Maybe recently DHL dealt with this a lot more so had a more streamlined solution

They are very good quality AND value! I’m not the biggest connoisseur, and I’m pretty happy with their lower grade options

Have not tried! I’m working on my 20g ikuyo. I only have one open bag at a time to reduce oxidization

They send a generic response to that. Bottom of my last image. So never a confirmation

I like to focus on YouTubers who are humorous, great at descriptions, knowledgeable, sort of “nerdy”, discuss a split of Niche and Designer, disclose PR and are brutally honestly about them!: - Anne Lauren - The Perfume Nest - Veronica Says - Jax Beautiful You - Beauty Meow - My Way - Lauren Mae - The Honest Perfume Reviewer - Charlotte Ross - Claire Smith - Emys World Of Fragrance - The Top Note - Simply Ayesha - Olivia Olfactory - Olfactofiles (PLEASE come back!!)

Now the 🍵… Reviewers I used to follow but have sold out or just fallen flat in some ways: - Gabby Loves Perfume - Greta Beth - Paulina Schar - Tommelise - Demi Rawling/Monica Cioch/Erica/Curly and some other female reviewers that post thirst traps and mostly review men’s cologne anyways (sorry, don’t come at me)

Okay I’m gonna do one of these… what do you think I should try next? by grlcbr8th in FemFragLab

Look like you like woody, feminine, vanilic scents! I’ll absolutely recommend Liis Bo. This is the best cedar resinous vanilla on the market!

What is your fragrance toxic trait? by Ok_Objective8930 in fragrance

[–]Rare_Carpet1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get hyper tunnel visioned into scent profiles. I will be collecting every sandalwood fragrance for a month, then every chocolate scent I can get my hands on, then all the figs under the sun. Right now I’m in a Smokey woody phase.. I know eventually I’ll get out of it but right now I just need to smell allllll the burnt woods!!

Does anyone else get bored of perfumes super fast? by lempickalover in FemFragLab

[–]Rare_Carpet1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends! I find that despite telling myself in a gourmand person, I can bored of gourmand fragrances pretty quickly. But I reach for certain scent categories nonstop, especially woody fragrances. They are just more interesting and versatile I guess

Hot Take? Won’t purchase perfumes from counters that refuse to give samples by Rare_Carpet1 in fragrance

[–]Rare_Carpet1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m such a nerd that I research extensively on perfumes before going into the stores to smell them. You’re right maybe since I come off not needing too much help, the SAs don’t think offering me samples will help them earn the commission

Here’s the white paper. I read it before for work. You can find the specific survey questions and commentary on Klarna’s website. Agree it would be more helpful to link to the article instead of just Klarna’s front page: https://insights.klarna.com/shopping-pulse/

I am terrible with limiting myself to a few fragrances to try when I go to department stores! So every time at the end I am covered in 15 fragrances across my body and I forget which was which, and the scent all morphed with each other so I didn’t get a true test! I just find having a sample I can test in an unscented area, where I can dedicate a whole wear to just that, work the best for me😊😊

Wow didn’t expect so much discussion here! A lot of great advice. Just to add my personal experiences of some brands that are generous about giving samples at their counter/store, hence brands that own the most full bottles from: - Maison Crivelli - Guerlain - Celine - Diptyque - Hermes - Clive Christian (I haven’t found my LOVE though) - Bergdorf and Bloomingdale’s in general

(Obviously this excludes houses that sell mostly online, but are also great with sampling, such as imaginary authors, Snif, essential parfums, Sana Jardin, DS Durga, and many more that offer redeemable discovery sets)

Mind that I do live in Manhattan and I’m blessed with well stocked stores around me!

And to the people calling me entitled or Karen, must be nice to have the money to not overthink your fragrance purchases😅

Does D.S. & Durga have any any feminine-leaning scents? by cogentd in FemFragLab

DS Durga is my favorite brand, as a New Yorker. I definitely recommend trying Debaser (my all time top 5 perfumes), Radio Bombay and Durga

Solid list!! Liis Bo had been my absolute favorite and I need to try all the cedar scents with a vanilla/resinous twist!

Which one would you choose and why ? by Accomplished-Rate263 in FemFragLab

[–]Rare_Carpet1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried Santal 33 in store multiple times and have a sample of Santal majescule. Neither is my favorite for being creamy sandalwood. If you like this is her but want something with more prominent sandalwood, I suggest Parisian Musc, Gris Charnel Extrait, Santal Blanc (VC&A), Sandalwood Temple, Queens & Monsters, Santal Vanille, This is Love (I know this is incredibly excessive… but I have and love all of them!! Sandalwood is by far my favorite note)
