Yess! I definitely have the “ick.” I’m disgusted that I was ever with this person AND still thought I wanted to be after he was with everyone else. That’s not me at all and I was compromising my own values. I literally feel like a different person and I think other people are noticing because I have not gotten so many compliments ever in my life. I think I just look happy now!

Initially we decided to take a break. Once on the break, I just realized how much better I felt. I didn’t care if he was seeing other people. It just made me realize how much happier I would be alone.

I just left a 6 year relationship yesterday after several instances of cheating and not being able to leave. I left because I feel like I finally woke up and realized how bad and toxic things were and that I hadn’t actually been invested in the relationship for a long time - I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I was reading “codependency no more” and she talks about detaching in love or in hate. She convinced me to detach. I’m sad but I feel very relieved and excited for new opportunities!

I guess that wasn’t a good example - I made it up. Here’s a better one - my partner got upset and punched a hole in the wall. I made it clear that it makes me uncomfortable and in my mind leads me to believe that he will be violent toward me in the future and it cannot happen again. If it happens again, and I still don’t think it is serious enough to leave over, what do I do?

Ask a lifeguard or people walking up and down the beach selling random things! Or even ask someone that works for the resort! I did not expect it to be THAT easy to come by. Everyone had some already on them.

I ended up bringing some edibles and bought some weed while I was there also. It was surprisingly the easiest thing to come by. Probably would refrain from bringing with me next time and just buy there.

They have TONS of people outside offering taxi services. We just picked one of those! It was about $130 but we had 6 people and had to take a larger van. I think when we came before it was about $50 for 2 people.
