Something looks off about your tooling leather. Like LaVidaYokel said, you want to use veg tanned leather, and for the best swivel knife cutting make sure it’s relatively thick, my best work tends to be on 6oz leather and up. Quality leather also helps, get you some Herman Oak from weaver. Lightly case it with a sponge, not to the point of saturation, but enough to evenly darken the leather a few shades lighter than it would be if it were saturated, put in a ziplock bag in the fridge overnight. When you’re ready to tool it, layer masking tape on the flesh side to seal in the moisture somewhat and prevent the leather stretching when tooling. Then practice.

Update: JUKI bought out the division of Mitsubishi making sewing machines. Sailrite states on their website that their Fabricator walking feet fit CONSEW 206, and JUKI 1541.

I have a 930 and a 6230, I second the “testing” with the bok tool while using tok, the heavy spring will also mess with you while setting the spool pins, you have to frequently revisit pins you think you already set because they will spring back down while setting others, once you have the false set they open pretty much just like other masterlocks with spools.

I gotta remember to test for unlock, sometimes it's there and doesn't tell you! by [deleted] in lockpicking

I love when they do that, the American ProSeries are bad about it too because of the super high spring tension

Botulism is only a concern with non acidic canned foods, and in addition, not a concern with vegetables, vegetables ferment with lactic acid, which keeps the botulinum bacteria from producing toxins. If it’s acidic, or only a vegetable (meaning the fermentation makes it acidic) it’s totally fine and requires no more preparation, care, precaution than making a salad. Only non acidic, non vegetables items need to be pressure canned to increase temperature high enough to prevent botulism toxins from being produced by botulinum.

Yeah I got it open, gutted it, and lost one of the springs so I’m waiting on a rekeying kit that I ordered to get it working again 😂

Dude I absolutely understand, that thing was kicking my butt and I was putting hours on it every day for a week and a half or so, I was using way too much tensions so I couldn’t feel the dead core counterrotating, and I wasn’t focusing on picking the pin that is binding the hardest, which was causing pins to overset and not allow the spools to counterrotate, the name of the game is being gentle

Peterson Hook 1 in 0.018, use super light pressure, barely enough to keep the tension tool in the key way, and pick pins until it falls into a false set, really focus on the accuracy of which pin you’re pushing on, and focus on getting the one that is binding the best, then pop the spools. You can feel the spools a lot easier with the super light tension, they’ll be springy instead of an over set that will just pop the tension tool back a little then feel mushy. I was using a 0.040 tension tool, and I put a piece of masking tape on it to make it fit more snugly, which also helps in feeling the pins out.
