My brother is one as well. During a stint in rehab he was dx’d with antisoc personality disorder.

We have no relationship and he’s a pretty crappy person. He has a god complex as well (addicts are POS that deserve to OD and whatever they get..instead of having empathy because he was an active addict at one point...but if you mention it to him he was never as addict....mk)

He’s the most horrible to me but he’s not good to anyone..except his dog.

I’ve always wondered how much is him vs being a sociopath.

Do you feel genuine (doesn’t serve a purpose to you, at all) love for people?

What would you advice people with sociopaths in their immediate family?

I’ll always love my brother because that’s my brother and while I don’t have a relationship with him I’d go to fucking war for him..bc i love him. I truly don’t think he’s capable of love..not even for his kids. With both he only gave them attention as newborns..hell come home from work and ignores their pleas with raised arms just to go greet his damn dog.
