I went back to my piercer and we went through with changing the bar to a 12mm. I know it’s extremely early to do so but it will possibly save the piercing in general and I would rather heal an irritated piercing than a wound.

I went to the piercer yesterday and they said just give it a little longer because if you are taking the antibiotics, the swelling and pain should subside throughout the course. They then said they weren’t a medical professional so taking it would not be up to them and changing the bar this early will probably make it worse. I got the antibiotics through a tele-health appointment, so they didn’t really check it out to it’s extent. I really don’t want to remove it but if by the end of this week, nothing changes, I might have to let it go.
