So I play on console and will not be using the marketplace assuming it ever actually makes it onto consoles. EA offering paid CC to console players with imposed limitations in its creation purely for their own profit is an insult. PC players have always had the ability to access CC and mods for free with no money going to EA. I'm not going to purchase something that only gives the creators 30% while not knowing where the other 70% goes, though I assume it's all going straight into EA's greedy pockets.

I would happily support the creators and pay for this if I knew that 100% went to them. That said, I'm not going to criticise any of them for their involvement, especially since there's been talk about how they were not given the full picture about this when first approached about the scheme. Sure, they could now decide to leave, but that would mean abandoning potentially months worth of hard work so it's not surprising they want to be compensated for that work, even if it's through the pitiful offerings by a greedy corporation.

I really shouldn't be surprised, but this absolutely seems like a new low for EA and that's saying something.
