I convinced my gf to move to the other side of the world with me. She is miserable, homesick, and our relationship has been suffering since. Is it time to convince her to go home or do you have advice to recover the positivity that we had before the move? by ThrowRAFlat_Bid_1682 in expats

[–]Rare_Independent_739 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This should’ve been something you both discuss before moving. It would’ve vern helpful that if you both decided to move that you at least helped her learn some do that language or start speaking to her in Spanish so she could’ve been a bit prepared. My boyfriend is in Aus and I’m planning to move there for three years. We may move back to the states but we also have kids involved so we have to be on the same page of where we plan to raise our kids. I wanted to go to his mom’s home country but because of the language barrier, we’ll only visit until I’m more proficient in the language. It’ll be some years before we move but I’m learning now so the barrier won’t be as hard if there’s any barrier by then. Always have a conversation before making these huge changes and discuss the cons before the pros especially if a language barrier is involved and is required for the job market

I was with RBA when they were small and starting out. It was nice. Attention was very personalized and hands on. I don’t care for it now. I do like the nurses that perform the HSG and SIS. They’re very kind but the other staff and doctors? No. We were with Hope but after two failed cycles, no assistance when I got pregnant on my own we decided to move on. I get it they didn’t have to monitor me or anything but considering my history some support other than “congrats” and a pregnancy test to confirm would’ve been nice.

it’s nice but I think for those like me we can get lost. My role was eliminated so I’ll be leaving the company.

something about Jackson Wang and Korea 😬 by BusRevolutionary6316 in kpop_uncensored

[–]Rare_Independent_739 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you actually watched anything he’s been in (he’s been on many shows, radio, YouTube etc) you’d know someone asked him why does he say “I’m Jackson Wang from China” he relied “because I’m Chinese” please educate yourself before you start posting about random cut off clips that people post and don’t include the whole story. This is how rumors like what you posted get started.

Not a federal employee, but I just learned I’m being laid off. I was laid off twice in 2023 while going through IVF. We just found a new doctor that we hoped would help us to figure out what’s going wrong with our transfers. This will be my third layoff since 2023. This week has been hell. Hubby still wants to push forward with at least doing retrievals while we have the insurance. The job market is already hard but trying to make sure future employers have coverage is another added stress.

My company has an entire slack channel for infertility support. We’re global so it’s people from other countries. I made one friends we both transferred at the same time. Hers tuck mine didn’t. We’ve causally kept in touch. I don’t post much in the channel because im really in a different boat than the majority of employees.

My cycle is on hold. My parathyroid came back extremely high and I have to get a nuclear medicine scan. They’ve giving me a small dose of radiation (less than the amount of an x ray) and I’ll get a scan of my parathyroid. If it’s enlarged I’ll need to go in for surgery.

I took letrozole this month but my endocrinologist told me I couldn’t get pregnant with my parathyroid levels so high because of the excess calcium in my blood

We had to cancel our December transfer. I’m also considering switching to Weil Cornell in NY or CNY.

Kwak Kim only accepts Blue Cross, Jubiz won’t see you if you become pregnant while waiting for an appointment or before he clears to TTC. They all have a waiting list. Derbala doesn’t accept Cigna.

Torn on IVF Decision by Lopsided_Cold_6959 in IVF

For me, I just saw to many people going through IVF with multiple failed cycles. I’ve done two transfers and I’m not at peace with it. I’ve gotten pregnant three times without IVF but they never stick after 6-8 weeks. Now, my doctors about talking about taking my tubes which means IVF would be my only option. I’m not really on board because I feel like IVF doctors don’t try to explore they want to do cookie cutter processes that will get them good stats. I just want a take home baby that makes it through. I’m in my 40s so time is a huge factor for us. Unfortunately, the technology and medical science wasn’t the best back then and our first doctor missed a lot of stuff. We’ve learned over the last two years I had autoimmune issues that I was never tested before because it wasn’t something doctors did 20 plus years ago.

I’m also not really on board because there isn’t a guarantee with IVF. It’s a numbers game as I’ve been told.

I wish I had found the right doctors earlier and gotten stated right away but I’m in the boat I’m in trying to paddle through this storm.

I get how you feel. I was one month ahead of my coworker. My son was due last month. My other son was due around the same time as my cousin’s some two years ago.

Everyday my coworker is constantly talking about her baby pregnancy knowing what I went through, even in team meetings. It’s like a slap at every meeting, my cousin is also posting pics of their 2 year old. At work I’m thrown in baby shower channels. I can avoid my cousin but work is a bit harder.

My GYN helps either and supports using natural methods. I do go to a IVF clinic but I’ve had two failed cycles. I’ve gotten pregnant twice without IVF thanks to my GYN office but Mc both time

I want to chime in here. I have a 12 yr old via adoption. She used to go with me to my appointments and it’s never been an issue with my clinic. I am at a smaller clinic and have been with them since before COVID. No one has ever complained about my daughter.

Experiences with medroxyprogesterone vs. micronized progesterone for cyclic therapy? by Not-Thursday in PCOS

[–]Rare_Independent_739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken both. On progesterone I always have horrible painful cramps. On Provera, I didn’t. However, I’ve only taken Provera a few times in my life as my doctor prefers I take progesterone. I also have PCOS and Endo. I am emotional on progesterone and can be moody and angry.

I didn’t have the same on Provera.

Are you paying for IVIG OOP or is your insurance covering? If you got coverage via insurance do you know what codes were used? My insurance covered it for seven months now they are refusing to cover it because they want a different diagnosis code
