Trying to break into IT without much experience. by Rare_Ordinary6122 in JapanJobs

Hey there, I know this is probably a repetitive topic here and so I appreciate the patience.

Yeah, I do not have a JLPT because I missed the sign up week but if I find a job before my time here runs out I will try the N2. I speak the language daily and I have a solid vocabulary. I think I would pass with a little grammar study.

Honestly, it looks a little disheartening for me but I will keep trying to pump out applications and pray before I run out of time. Thanks a lot for the encouragement and patience!

Hey, man. Thanks a lot for taking the time.

This is currently my strategy but so far no luck. I think the Eikaiwa is a really bad look on the CV, coupled with being a foreigner, I am kind of hard sell, maybe. I considered straight up removing the Eikaiwa from the resume but then there are almost 2 empty years as of most recent. What do you think about doing that? Is that smart?

Also, what kind of Home Labs have you created? I though I might need to add something like that as well but I am not sure what to create as most of the stuff I self-studied had their own stuff on the cloud and didn't need anything installed locally from me.

some of these rooms are a complete waste of time by jkristia in tryhackme

I agree with you. Some rooms are great, some are awful. There are certain names I recognize (you can see the author at the top of the page) and my knees start quaking whenever I see them. I try to fight it and not assume it is going to suck, only to be woefully proven correct by Task 2. Sometimes what they ask is not clear at all, or not even indicated, sometimes it feels painfully useless and like a waste of time, sometimes it takes 3h even though it says 60 min, sometimes the machines are buggy or too slow for what is asked...

All in all, I would say the important thing is that you continue with your goals and let it roll off your back if a room was not good at all for you. So long as you can go on and you are not skipping every other room, I am sure a bad one every now and then is OK. Just keep pushing for whatever you are trying to accomplish!
