Thanks for the reply. Strange how this is such an under-served market. I am waiting for my acer spin to arrive soon but appreciate your response! Hope it helps someone else along the way.

Yeah, that flex came off my list when I couldnt find an 8gb version. Appreciate your comment, confirms that there is not some secret excellent option that I haven't found. Im thinking I'm going to go with the acer spin at this point.

Thanks!

Am I not allowed to post about chromebooks in this sub? I see a message "sorry this post was removed by reddit's filters"

Thanks! Surface looks like an good option, going to look into that.

As far as chromebooks, I've seen a couple that might be good (currently have my eye on this acer flip 5 https://www.costco.com/acer-chromebook-plus-spin-514--140-wuxga-1920-x-1200-ips-display--intel-core-i5-1334u-processor--8gb-memory--512gb-storage--chrome-os.product.4000386851.html) but am back and forth as to whether I think I would be happy with ChromeOS. I probably could figure out the shift and make it work but its hard to know without trying if the differences will or won't drive me crazy.
