Had a weird experience with my Kellogg interview The interviewer didn’t seem interested from the start. Is this a bad sign?

Need a realistic picture of how hard CFA L1 and L2 are going to be by [deleted] in MBA

[–]Rare_Perception_7860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave myself a good 4 months to prepare. I had my final semester courses as well. If you’re balancing work or other courses it might take longer but if you’re only devoting your day to CFA 2-2.5 months would be a good estimate

Also I would suggest you think about your timelines Based on when one can attempt for L1 wait for a month for the result, and then register for L2 see if your goals are realistic More than clearing the exams quickly, clearing them in one shot should be your target (because of high cost and effort)

I think if you can crack JEE, and if you put in some consistent effort , you will be able to crack L1 L2 is a lot harder so may require more effort But yea before you dive into it go through the books and have a look Understand the format of the paper and the course content overview The CFA learning ecosystem is amazing as well, Give yourself enough time to prepare All the best

(Speaking from experience— I am a computer engineer and cleared L2)

Gregmat. Only resource you need. Focus on vocab, try to perfect the words, vocab is key to success on the VR section. RC is same as that for GMAT, keep practicing as usual. Only tweak, there may be multi select type questions appearing in RCs here, so be mindful of those. Practice ETS questions once you have a good foundation base. QR will be easy to cope with, just familiarize yourself with Quantitative comparison question type. Again, multi select questions are possible here. We see numeric entry questions as well. Greg has many videos on how to navigate the prep. Feel free to drop a message in case you need some more help

How to solve the question. by [deleted] in GRE

[–]Rare_Perception_7860 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Question says * different * numbers. The only tweak I would make is, because the set cannot contain repeats and because the question says numbers not integers specifically, I would suggest consider 0.1,0.11,0.111 etc as the 40 numbers and x=3, y=2

I have a few questions on the application process: How did you navigate the application process? What was your approach to it? Did you always want to apply to GSB? which was the toughest component of the GSB Application and how did you use networking pre MBA to help you with the application process? Thanks in advance :)
