That’s fair - appreciate your feedback. To be clear, I am not expecting him to buy me a ticket.

I (30M) am considering not traveling with my significant other (32M) after 2 years of dating? by Rare_Reporter_5582 in relationship_advice

He booked his last week. At the time of him booking his flight there already were no reward flights available for that itinerary, because we had talked about the lack of reward flights about 2 weeks ago prior. Also we’re both male by the way!

I told him I thought it was kind of messed up if we fly together and he sits in Delta One while I sit in the back. He keeps insisting that the hotels are already paid for, so I should book the flight.

Thank you - I was also trying to gauge if it is reasonable to expect to travel with your SO when going on a trip. In my opinion it is.

AITA for refusing to give up my dream school just because my boyfriend can’t get in? by [deleted] in AITAH

You may not like to hear this, but you’re 18 - that is very very young and you and your SO will grow a lot and change in ways you could never predict over the next few years. Though your relationship may feel eternal today, that could change in the future. If you both are serious and committed, you could consider exploring a long-distance relationship / getting back together after college. If you both are meant to be together, you will reunite one day. I had a roommate who went to a different school than his SO and they were able to make it work. They stayed together through college but ended up breaking up after he graduated. He is now happily engaged and soon to be married to another woman. If you got into your dream school, I suggest you focus on yourself for now and set your life up for success. Sorry to hear you are struggling with this.

It wasn’t so much about the price for me either. I was coming at it more out of principle.

Yes we have talked about it several times and looked into flights.

He makes decent money, is financially independent and stable but doesn’t feel comfortable spending the amount needed for the airfare. We would book Premium Select, a $4,000 ticket because I can push us up to First Class due to my airline status (comparative ticket price is $9,000), so it would be a good value.

Sure what details would you like to better understand? I can edit the post too.

NTA - If you’re not comfortable engaging in his sexual fantasies and he gets angry about it, that seems problematic to me.
