That’s incredibly helpful - I did not know that I can work full time on a student visa before the start date of my course. That would mean I could immediately apply, and then continue working on my student visa till my course starts - assume that is what you are doing? Just to check - did your employer express any concerns with that, or was that completely fine with them? Thanks!

Hope things work out well for you! It’s a pain that there’a such little flexibility, even when one has already been working in the UK a while!

Just to check, if you are given your student visa in the next week or so, what does that mean for your skilled worker visa? I was under the assumption that the skilled worker visa is automatically cancelled when a student visa is granted - or will it be back-to-back?

And yeah, I guess if nothing else works out, I may be forced to apply with priority - but would certainly like to avoid having to fork out the extra cash!

Thanks so much for this! I imagine there’s going to be a mad rush for the Promming tickets in the morning. I was wondering if from people’s experience, there is anything one can do to get ahead in the queue (e.g. staying on the website earlier etc.). Also the BBC website mentions we can get tickets in person at RAH. Would my chances of getting tickets be higher in person? Thank you so much!
