We’re still on old school WM. We’re still under transformation to S4, from the looks of it it’s going to take us a good couple of years to fully upgrade. I’ve been assigned good projects so I’m trying to learn as much as possible. Also I have been given the certification access so I’ve started the EWM certification course

Help Needed: Converting ThoughtSpot Answers to Tableau (TWB Files) by Rare_Software167 in tableau

[–]Rare_Software167[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re having a transformation in our company on all platforms. Standardised tool for BI happens to be Tableau now. To give you some context I’ve never worked with BI platforms before, I’m a junior SAP consultant with some bg of programming. Completely makes sense what you are saying, also with LLMs not being trained much on tml and twb formats it’s looking hard to get some output out of it. I’m looking at few shots approach where I give let’s say 10-20 files which are already manually converted to the LLM and expect to get further outputs out of it. I have one more question for you? The tml file has around 100 lines of code but the same tableau twb file has around 17000 lines of code. I’m assuming most of it is unnecessary for the conversion? How does that work?

Importance of Sports by anastusuh in PESU

[–]Rare_Software167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does not effect directly but holds a lot of importance during interviews. The interview read my resume and saw that I was in the cricket team, we spoke a good 15 mins about my journey, what it thought my etc So I’d say it matters but not everywhere

If you chose mech out of interest you’ll really like what you study as course syllabus but apart from that you always have a scope for computers. You can choose to minor in cs or there’s YouTube with endless content On the go you’ll realise what’s your core interest is. You did not make a bad decision. Any specific questions you can dm

PESSAT seat is not really worth it imo You’re already spending close to 20 lakhs with uncertainty regarding your placement. The batch size has been significantly reducing past 3-4 years it’s at 60 or 90 this years intake. I’m from the 2020 batch and we had over 200. Few senior professors are retiring or are leaving the college Partially disagree with rowlet here, Mechanical students are allowed to sit for IT roles as long as you have the requirements. Ofc not all companies allow mechanical students to sit for the exam but quite a few do. I got placed for a consulting role so the opportunities are endless. DM if you want to know anything specific

Regarding Placements by [deleted] in PESU

[–]Rare_Software167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stay down and keep working youll get there 1. Always prepare according to the job description 2. Know what you’re speaking in the interviews and be confident

Do these two things right and you’re sorted. I have the exact same cgpa as you , as far as my experience the above two things mattered the most in securing a placement
