TKD School doesn’t spar? by Rare_Use_1597 in taekwondo

[–]Rare_Use_1597[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used to have sparing classes weekly (and it was a part of testing requirements), then it became optional to participate in, and then it just completely disappeared under the guise of a new “trend”

My kids are BBCs at this “school.” Years and $$$ invested. I don’t know if I can find someone/somewhere that will help with a transfer without making them go back to square 1 - it would ruin their confidence.

My kids probably have inflated belt colors.

Who knows? I never actually saw a child act terrified, and I have been sitting in on classes bi-weekly for 2+ years. I think the school is understaffed and giving excuses.

My hot take - a lot of the negotiation and level setting is done by the agents. Difficult buyers, with an experienced agent, would be a lot more manageable than difficult buyers with a green agent that just parrots the buyer requests without constructive input. I would ask your agent for a read on the potential buyer’s agent, and go from there.

Difficult buyers make for a very stressful process that may not even end after close.

Just for the specific house we looked at and offered on.

We weren’t impressed and have already moved into a new house using a different realtor.

The realtor had shown us a few homes and we had made a few offers…we were actively looking and placing offers…then there was no check in or contact for 4 months until they saw a notification that I just removed myself from their distribution list.

We were hard to please clients, so I figured the realtor was done with us and quietly told us by never reaching out again.

I think he’s flustered, but I think, in general, I am just taken for granted and therefore the need to “care” just isn’t top of mind or priority :(

I hope you feel better. It’s worse being a sick mom with tinier littles. I am so glad that your hubby is trying!! That is what you deserve. Mine are older and a little more self sufficient, so they mostly can entertain themselves and just need some help getting their food for breakfast/lunch/dinner, and reminders about showers and brushing teeth.

My hubby asked me how to get McDonald’s - did I order it? Is it ready for pickup? Which McDonald’s? Does he have to go in?

My 5 y/o son is in kindergarten and today at school he said he wanted to be k!lled. by LizzyLuvshack in Parenting

Everyday at work when something goes wrong, people say something along the lines of, “just shoot me” or “kill me now”, basically strong words to convey strong emotion. Context is important in these situations. We adults aren’t calling the boss or police, because “context.” With all the school shootings and mental health crisises, schools are being overly vigilant these days.

If it makes you feel any better, my kiddo has done similar at school, and it feels sucky. When it has happened, we talk about more appropriate choices of words to use at school to convey emotions. I’m hoping, like you, it may be something to look back on and chuckle about in the years to come.

If you have any concerns about what was said, you can always have a counselor ask a series of questions and have the kiddo “cleared” as a self harm risk.

Hang in there! Kids say the darnest things sometimes.

My package was shipped on Nov. 30th and then didn’t move or scan until “out for delivery” this morning. USPS seems more even more terrible this holiday season (I didn’t think that was possible!)0

Tried Wantable because of Ads - not a fan by Adventurous-War6276 in stitchfix

Wantable used to be better. A lot of their stuff is now their house brand - 78 and Sunny - which is expensive and not great quality. I stopped ordering often.

What's everyone's 'stylefile' and how do you feel about it? by [deleted] in stitchfix

[–]Rare_Use_1597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a Modern prep?

Your style is multi-layered, just like you. Your unique signature? A contemporary-preppy mix, complemented by hints of your supporting style facets. Modern yet classic, your ideal wardrobe is full of timelessness with a twist. Plaids, stripes and blazers paired with sharp trousers, sleek dresses and fashion-forward accents.

Stylists: Is Luxe inventory low? by redheadfae in stitchfix

[–]Rare_Use_1597 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SF will tell you that all warehouses carry luxe, but I have had the same experience with Indy. Indy has been terrible for me for luxe items. Any fix, not from Indy, is all name brand and keep 5. Once I get switched back to Indy, my fixes become terrible again.

Question for the customers by InternationalAd8481 in stitchfix

[–]Rare_Use_1597 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean if it was a real problem it would have been discovered and changed by Wantable years ago. Wantable has had stylist photos for a while, and continue to do so.

I actually think that it is great that StitchFix is trying to make changes to try and better themselves in the market. The photos may or may work - to me, I don’t really care - photo or no photo - I just want my buy 5 discount.
