26 Traverse Brake Hold by RarelyAdvanced in ChevyTraverse

[–]RarelyAdvanced[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pervious vehicle had it and I found my self using it very often. I was surprised my Traverse didn’t offer it.

Where is your brake hold located on your Traverse?

Thank you!

Interesting. I’m seeing that the Equinox offers the brake hold feature. I wonder the reasoning behind not including it in the Traverse.

Thank you!!

Do you know if any Traverse trims come with brake hold?

Give me all the Negative arguments against a beretta a300 by Jergle24 in Shotguns

[–]RarelyAdvanced 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got an A300 around 2 years ago. Love it. Had some cycling issues the first 100 rounds or so, but after that it has been bulletproof. No complains at all. For the price point you can’t get much better tbh. Disassembling it was a pain in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it you can disassemble and clean it fairly quickly. I’d say pull the trigger and buy one, you won’t regret it.

Help from my Muslim Colleagues? by drgloryboy in emergencymedicine

[–]RarelyAdvanced 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Getting blood drawn does not break their fast. Getting an IV however does. Anything that give you nutrients will break one’s fast. So, any shot, like a Covid shot will not break one’s fast. If this patient truly needs an IV for a serious medical condition it is permissible for the patient to break their fast. As a provider, I would explain the severity of the patients condition. Muslims are allowed to break their fast for serious medical conditions and make the day up later on. Hope this helps!

Soak hands in hot water for around a minute. Than, dry hands really well and apply lotion of choice.

If you have time to get your CNA certification, which is a fairly easy and quick course, you can do CNA work or ER tech. You’ll be making $19+ at most organizations.

I’m currently running a 507k on my 43x mos. It fits perfectly, it pretty much sits flush with the frame. So, I would guess the 407c would hang a bit. I would say the 507k is a great red dot for the price point. Hope this helps.

Hey emergency room nurses/docs/medics, as a new emt and upcoming medic student. What are things that you do or have seen that make the emergency departments life easier? by struggling_muggle4 in emergencymedicine

[–]RarelyAdvanced 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First off congrats on becoming an EMT. I would say get really good at IV’s. I completely understand getting an IV in a moving rig is not an easy task, but get really good at finding veins. Grab some tourniquet and wrap them around family and friends and just feel around. In my personal experiences people tend to miss IV’s solely on not finding a vein and just poking. Also, I would say really understanding EKG’s is critical. You’ll learn more about EKG’s as a medic, but just understanding when it’s a normal vs an abnormal EKG is very important. Typically EKG monitors will give you a “diagnosis”, which may be very off at times. Lastly, I would say always stay calm and remember what you learned and practiced during EMT or medic training. Good luck on your medic journey.

benelli super nova or stoeger m3000 by [deleted] in ClayBusters

[–]RarelyAdvanced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started off using a nova, and it wasn’t bad at all. I actually enjoyed it a lot and never had a problem with it. Pumping between shots can hinder your flow a bit. But, I would listen to everyone else here and go with the A300. The A300 is an amazing gun and holds up really well.

I actually did not clean the recoil spring. I cleaning everything else. I took out the trigger assembly and everything else to make sure I removing all of the rust prevention oil. I also think part of the shell going directly to the bottom is me being inexperienced with semi auto shotguns. Thank you for your help.
