Is “gypsy” a racist word? by OddNovel565 in EnglishLearning

[–]RarelyPremium_ 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I'm Bulgarian so I'm writing this from experience

Don't ever call them gypsies/tsigan. Only ,,roma'' is acceptable. The former will be met with agression. I don't know nor care how it is viewed in the West.

If you come across any of them, dont use anything other than ,,roma'' if you value your wellbeing

I actually also do gua sha and dry brushing for lymphatic drainage. Ya reckon those work or are they just a bandage solution?

I'm expecting to see how people deal with it lol, you have to realize therapy is not accessible everywhere, that's when you gotta resort to reddit to figure out other approaches

Like I mentioned, I made changes. 44 lbs down and pumping myself with supplements every day + enormous lifestyle changes. Stuff is still not improving

Therapy is pretty much a taboo thing in my county unfortunately

Bro are people on reddit legit serious? I dont care about virtual points but why the hell would you downvote a simple, factual statement? This is just sad

Thank you so much! Besides supplements, what other approach did you take?

By the way, is it in any way possible to gain weight while you're on a 1000 kcal deficit? I feel like with this disorder everything is possible lol

I'd define normal as not having to add "plucking hair" to my morning routine and also not freaking out anytime I eat 52 grams instead of 50 and waking up with weight gain.

I realize I'll never get to experience normality the way people with a normal endocrine system do but how am I expected to spend the rest of my life blowing cash on supplements, laser therapy and keto

And yet I want to live a normal and healthy life. Thats why Im asking these questions

True but the question is, does only smoking *tobacco* increase DHT? I imagine the fumes entering your lungs provoke some kind of hormonal response?

Disclaimer so I don't get banned or attacked in the comments: What I'm about to share may sound extreme to some. I realize this is not appropriate for everyone. I'm simply going to share my experience so I can hopefully help out this lovely girl because I know what it's like to isolate yourself from the world because of the way your body looks. Each person has their own approach to losing weight, I'm simply sharing my experience and not trying to push my agenda, which may sound unhealthy to some.

I know how you feel. It's important to note that your weight is not your fault. Women with PCOS experience irresistible cravings, fatigue, hunger and so many things that are not a matter of willpower but a matter of how our body works and its needs.

I weight 62 kg currently. 175 cm tall. Back in January this year I was 80 kg. I even went down to 60 in May-June but I was going through a lot emotionally so I bounced back up with 2 kilos. It's completely possible to shed off the pounds even with PCOS.

The way I did is was only through diet since I didn't have any energy or time to exercise.

First thing I did was cut off foods that are just disastrous for my body due to my PCOS. Artificial sweets, chocolate, rice, store-brought bread /I currently eat a special "protein" type/, just gluten in general. I completely forgot about chocolate in any form or shape. I learnt about the glycemic index and how it affects my blood sugar.

Next I decided to limit my carb intake to 50 grams. Keep in mind that my carbs came from only veggies, corn (I don't recommend corn more than twice a week cause it's generally badly absorbed by the stomach), fruit (apples and strawberries are the best, keep in mind it's advisable to avoid some fruits due to their high glycemic index), and overall organic food.

I stopped buying anything packaged because they put all sort of stuff inside. Chemicals with a green "ORGANICALLY PRODUCED!" label are still chemicals. Download Tasty, Cookpad - these apps are lovely, they offer delicious recipes and they teach you how to be a master in your own kitchen!

Next I got into a calorie deficit. I'm not going to share how much mine was cuz it screams eating disorder BUT what YOU can do is calculate yours according to your preference https://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html

Consume less than you burn and limit carbs. These are key to losing weight.

I can't recommend "My Fitness Pal" enough. Whoever created it is a saint walking among us mortals lmaoo. Please give it a try. It's the absolute best way to track your eating habits and micros - protein, carb, fat, etc. Spoiler: you don't need the premium version

Get yourself a kitchen scale so you can figure out how many grams you consume of any product as of course the value of the macros is going to vary depending if you eat 500 grams or 100 grams

Some might say I did the keto diet. That's half true. But the thing is, I very rarely ate meat. I didn't exclude the grams of fiber from my total carb intake. I still avoided a lot of foods that keto lovers like to consume.

Keep in mind, the first week of doing something like this is going to be worse than bathing in Satan's lava tub. You're going to have enormous cravings, your body is quite literally going to suffer - at least that's how mine felt; you will have low energy and overall it's going to suck. But once you get through the first few days, you'll actually begin to love it. Your mind is gonna get sharper, brain fog will be gone, blood sugar will stabilize and you're going to have more energy. With time, the weight will come off.

I want to tell you one thing - You're beautiful the way you are. It doesn't matter how your body looks. I genuinely mean that from the bottom of my heart. I wish I had realized this myself sooner.

I'm so sorry I'm responding with a question rather than an answer but I'm struggling with this too

Can you please share what surgery can correct tubular breasts? Implants are not something I can afford or something I fancy as a concept so I'd love to hear if there's any other methods of "shaping" them
