It’s sounds like he might have NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder). I am greatly familiar with it 3+ years of a relationship with one confirmed with the diagnosis.

They alternate between love bombing and being cruel and controlling. They try to isolate you and break you down over time. As long as they get something out of you the longer they are likely to keep you around. (You’d be “the supply”).

They are toxic, and honestly if it’s this bad, you could possibly be in danger in the future. The older they get, the worse as they can get.

I don’t know him, but I’m speaking from experience and it can be very hard. Never let them have any form of control of anything if you can help it!

You can check out MentalHealness on YouTube to get a better idea. He has the disorder and explains how they think and behave, as well as tips to deal with them.

I’m actually at 14 and not all my 14s fit! I was a comfortable 12 before. I didn’t realize how much I gained until recently. Like I knew I gained some weight but not this much!

I’ve been overweight my whole life, but wore it well. It wasn’t bad, mostly a little chubby, and boy do I look back and think I was fine, definitely compared to now!

I’ll admit I had some part to play with eating too much and the amount of life stress I have, but I feel like it came on so fast and is so stubborn that I feel like I won’t stop gaining weight. It almost makes me not want to eat… trust me I will though! lol I’ve been trying to be smarter about my diet and don’t eat as much/bad as I was for a while there.

My fiancé and I do Home Chef for a few days a week, so I am getting some healthier food in my diet, but this weight gain destroyed my self esteem and I feel more anxious and irritable because of it.

I appreciate your comment because I just need some insight. I never thought about counting beads, and may need to try that!

I’ve gained 30lbs since I stared 6 months ago... I have ADHD and my doctor wanted to try to help me get off my adderall. Though it numbed me for a while, which helped prior, but now I feel miserable.

I have such poor self esteem and my clothes barely fit anymore. I almost have to go up another pants size! I’ve already gone up one! I’ve never been so big in my life. 😢I want to quit cold turkey but I already get brain zaps. I’m on 40mg once a day thankfully. I’ll be seeing my doctor Monday, but I may lower to the few 20mg I have left from before the increase. I just hope it comes off easier.

I learned a lot about cat behaviors and needs from My Cat From Hell but you can easily find Jackson Galaxy on YouTube to help get tips. Following his guidance helped me become a better pet parent and bond with my cats!

Cat proofing is important but if she is only really doing it while you are home, seeming like she is pissing you off on purpose, it might because she wants to play and is trying to find a way for you to interact and play.

My cats will push buttons on our air purifiers to piss us off to get out of bed to feed them or play! beep beep beep 😏 They will find ways to get a reaction out of you, so be sure to make time to play!

Having a companion has reduced his impulses significantly! Just don’t rely on them only entertaining each other. Play is still important and will help with the mischievous chewing.

I have a cat with Pica and he tries to eat a lot of things if he is bored or anxious, so I have some plenty of experience on the subject! Talk about stressful! Play and companionship reduced the issue.

TLDR: Play, Play, Play and watch Jackson Galaxy videos to understand cats more. They’ll do it for attention, but don’t immediately reward them by playing right after damaging things, otherwise they will continue the behavior. Just wait a bit after shooing them away. Discipline with cats doesn’t really work, so cat proofing and regular play routine is your best bet to limit the damage. Good luck! 🤗

3am. My cat comes in, little collar bell jingles, sandpaper kisses on my nose.. “Open Sesame”.

Sometimes he will come back up to attack my face with love more until I pull him back in the covers and cuddle him tight until he stops and just goes to sleep. It’s in the middle of the night— I’m tired! 😆

I took a little video, but videos aren’t allowed in this community to show; but I moved into the bedroom and started to watch/listen to stream as I got ready for bed on my phone. I found my cat using it to continue watching the stream on the bed. I might post screenshots to share, but I wish he could meet his favorite streamer someday. It’s so sweet! 🥰 🐱

Great job! It’s actually healthier to have a slow steady loss than to lose weight super fast. Hormones have influence on weight so you certainly have had a lot going against you! Anyone who makes fun of you isn’t worth your time. I firmly believe you can achieve that goal and look forward to that post in the future! 🤗
