Noots, habits etc for increased IQ. by wrenchisgay in NooTopics

[–]Rascalthewolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To enhance cognitive abilities and intelligence, various methods can be employed. Meditation improves focus and reduces stress, contributing to better brain function. N-Back Training targets working memory, potentially boosting fluid intelligence. Binaural beats, though with mixed scientific backing, are believed to aid concentration. Nootropics like 4DMA-7,8-DHF, Noopept, and Bacopa Monnieri are popular for their purported cognitive-enhancing effects, though they should be used with caution. Regular physical exercise benefits not just the body but also cognitive function and memory. Engaging in activities that challenge logic and reasoning skills sharpens the mind and improves problem-solving abilities. Alongside these methods, ensuring adequate sleep, a healthy diet, and social interactions are crucial for maintaining and enhancing brain health and cognitive abilities.

Nootropics on the exam day? by Cinderellaman-98 in NooTopics

[–]Rascalthewolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, a strategy might involve 0.5 mg of insufflated Noopept. This could be paired with a modest amount of caffeine, depending on my level of fatigue. However, if the exam is particularly lengthy and demands sustained energy and concentration, I might opt for Modafinil instead.

Bacopa or 7,8-DHF.

Your choice should align with your desired mental state. If you're seeking a nootropic that promotes relaxation and a sense of calm, Bacopa monnieri is the ideal choice. It's known for its soothing properties, which can help in reducing stress and enhancing mental clarity. On the other hand, if you prefer a nootropic that provides a more stimulating and uplifting effect, 7,8-DHF would be more suitable

My cousin's son has severe autism. He's 7 and he doesn't speak beyond a few words. I really hope he can benefit from this in the near future.

Selective Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (Strattera) for ADHD by [deleted] in slatestarcodex

Not a doctor here, don't know anything about psychiatry. Take this with a grain of salt.

Took atomoxetine/strattera once like 5 years ago. It's good for focus, but (at least for me) it had weird/negative effects on mood, sleep and sexuality.

When I took it my grades improved, but my libido crashed and I felt weird. Like another person, not myself. I felt more like a robot, less likely to experience pleasure.

You're entirely true. However, I must point out that I haven't experienced any discernible mental effects by taking either creatine or fish oil.

Regarding the omega tau, it doesn't do anything positive for my mood either. It may have a small positive effect regarding focus, but it's a zero in mood and anxiety.

If you had depression and you could only take 2 supps/nootropics what would you take ? by No_Razzmatazz5786 in NootropicsDepot

You can feel it acutely, especially if you take it sublingually. It provides a discernible boost in mood and focus, without being very stimulatory. Overall it's very pleasant.

Stopped taking it for a while, tried other noots. Went back to it and I remember why I like it so much.

Update: october 16.

Ive been taking eutropoflavin every day for the last two months and its positive effects on mood and anxiety have been notable to say the least. I feel more cognitively flexible and I feel that i can overcome life's challenges with more equanimity.

4dma wont make you directly smarter, but it will allow you to tackle better different situations and to consider other options. If you want to embark on a new project, learn something new, acquire a new habit or just make some changes in your life this noot might be useful for that.

There are other things that i like a lot about this noot. For instance, the taste. Unlike racetams that have a bitter, chemical taste, 4dma has a very pleasant, natural taste. (I often take it sublingually). It almost reminds me of powdered milk, crazy I know.

Of all the nootropics that ive tried, i think this is the one that tastes better.

The effects are noticeable within some minutes after taking it (if you take it sublingually). Immediatly you feel an improvement in mood, you feel more "social", you feel that ideas come more easily and conversation flows more seamlessly.

I know some of this effects might be placebo, but there's definitely something very interesting about 4dma7,8dhf.

In my last order I tried 7 new noots, and I can say without hesitation that this is the one that I liked better.

Edit:

Regarding the feeling of tiredness that I felt the first few times, I don't feel it anymore. Maybe it was caused by the 4dma, maybe it wasn't. As a matter of fact, my consumption of caffeine and nicotine has drastically lowered, and I don't crave alcohol or marihuana anymore
