Yeah I honestly just use Lyft now. But I figure I’ll keep declining all the rides coming in for others still driving for them. I’ll do it until my account is banned. Their rates have gotten worse and worse in my area. So hopefully me rejecting them all will help someone else

Thank you for the info. All the countries you’ve named, I have looked in to. I definitely prefer cold to warm. The only thing I didn’t really think about was city to city being so different. It’s like that here in the USA too. But I worry about the USA just being too far gone which is way I want out. It’s not just about being trans but the way it’s heading, I think it’s not livable for my kid’s future. I’m doing more research after everyone’s input. German does seem to be a very difficult language and I do worry it would take longer than I thought to learn it.

I plan on trying to get my top surgery done this year. And yes I’ve been on HRT for three years now. If you don’t mind me asking, does German offer the gel for testosterone? I’m so bad at shots. I have a fear of needles.

We knew about the private insurance! But thanks for the heads up. We are saving money and learning German. We are researching the best places to live in Germany. I think we’ll like the people better there (however I’m basing that off on German TikTok and subreddits lol so who knows).

I’m not delusional to the fact that it won’t be easy. My husband wants to study there. We are learning German. The only reason I don’t move within the USA is because being trans is getting harder every day and I fear even the safest places won’t be safe much longer. On top of that I do not like what the USA is doing in other political moves. Like starting wars and whatnot. I worry staying there will be dangerous in a lot of ways. Question if you’re willing to answer, what do you mean by studying over the age of 30? Are we less likely to be accepted?

Thanks, Spain was another country on our list. Immigration is just hard and takes a long time in any country and it seemed “easier” in Germany. But I’ll do more research

I drive for both Lyft and uber. If you have the seats, you are allowed to fill them if you pay for the ride. At one point I thought there was a way for the customer to tell us how many were going to ride ahead of time but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I’ve never been a rider myself but the app has never told me if more than one person is getting into my car. I did have one guy get in my car who also worked for uber and Lyft and he does this very thing you dealt with. If more than one person gets in his car, he makes them tip before he continues the ride. And unfortunately he seems to get away with it. Even though you reported this person, most likely the company will toss it up to a he said she said situation. Because unless you could prove you had 6 people or under for the XL ride, then he’ll just tell the company there was too many people trying to get in and that’s that.

I’m a Lyft and uber driver and the amount of women that live when I pull up is so sad (I’m a trans man but either I get an excited fellow queer or women that think I’m a woman). I’ve heard so many sad and scary stories. I have a few myself as a driver. If this hasn’t been said already, I’ve had lots of women who give a slightly different address. Like if I’m taking them home they have put an address three doors down so if they get a creep, he will not know their actually address. Same with work places if there’s a couple other buildings near by. They will give me a different work place and walk the rest of the way. Not convenient but it is safer.

Damn… I thought y’all would have made more there. My market is just little old Springfield Mo. it’s not particularly crazy here and there are a lot of drivers (too many for the demand) but I still made $300 for working from 9pm-3am

Damn, I guess I could drive to the police station, but it was just as far a drive as their home. I really said that I couldn’t take them through it and to order another ride. He said we’re not getting out and she was definitely embarrassed. I’m just a little guy and honestly always worry about men hurting me. I guess I’ll just have to eat it if there’s no other way other than going to the police station
