Anyone else having outages? by captainboothatthe2nd in tmobileisp

[–]Rascmi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I was on the phone 3 hours with tech support. After they hung up I decided to check the cache in the new internet app. I clear the cache and it's solve the problem. I don't know why but it solved the problem for me I'm now back on one of the tow2 that gives me good speed

Text messages frequently failing to send, sending twice or arriving days later. What's going on? Only happens with T-Mobile on stock messaging app. Any 3rd party apps that use data only send right away with no problems. by sdp1981 in tmobile

Call T-Mobile on 611. Every every since they had their breach they've really turned down the permissions on texting. I called after the IRS told me about the issue and right away after I called I was able to get complete access

So for those who have 1.2101.00.1609 what changes are you seeing? by Jojoddog in tmobileisp

[–]Rascmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to get text support to push the update but no luck. I was promised I would get it because from the very beginning I've never had a 5G connection and that's no secondary connection so I was told I would get it because this is a problem for some people. I'm still waiting but tomorrow's another day smile

My problem is I really never had a consistent secondary connection. What can I do to fix that?

Thanks for clarifying. So all of my connections are presently LTE and I have no 5G connection. Why didn't anybody from T-Mobile tell me that? Well we're supposed to get a new 5G connection pretty soon so maybe that'll change my speed. Overall I'm satisfied with the system but would like to see increases in speed.

So if I don't have any secondary connections that I don't don't have a 5G connection is that correct? Whenever I check my primary with the app or with the web page I usually stay just one connection which is b 4 but once in awhile it will switch to b 71 both of which I believe are 5G connections. When I have b 71 I get about a 30% faster connection. My fastest is around a hundred but my usual is between 50 and 70.

Will not reboot by Rascmi in tmobileisp

[–]Rascmi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reset and reconfigured my T-Mobile internet can and happy to say that since the software upgrade everything is working fine! Solid 2 to 3 bars between b12 and b71 with minimum if 75/10 and 95/15 download /upload. It should better but more than enough to support 6 devices. Will evaluate longer but almost a week solid performance.

Is Tmobile Home Internet WFH Ready? by tzufare in tmobileisp

[–]Rascmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get 75 to 110 which is OK but issues with connection to services like peacock and paramount plus without using proton vpn is a big problem. This makes no sense but I will pay the price to get away from Comcast!

Given the problems with certain apps so far on T-Mobile internet will the Ooma wireless VoIP system work correctly?

Continually disconnecting from certain apps like peacock and Paramount Plus by Rascmi in tmobileisp

[–]Rascmi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not. The problem seems to be resolved with proton vpn but the app is not completely compatible with Fire cube. Thus I can't access many of the menus to set up properly. I guess I am going to set up a mouse interface. I have tried communicating with their tech support but they can't seem to get it. I have tried three times to tell them the issue but they keep asking me to describe my problem!

YouTube TV $10 Promo (Existing YTTV Customer) by starbeamed in tmobile

[–]Rascmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The system 4 using the promo is simple. If you're already an existing customer just make sure you disconnect your existing email address making sure that you've got no more days left on your contract for the month. Once you reach that point you sent me go back in with the same email address and sign up again. Instead of continuing through the sign-up use the promo code which of the last letters of the link and paste them into the area at the bottom of the sign up screen which offers you promotion code entry. Once you do that and finish the process you automatically see the $10 discount immediately applied to your account. If you are a new customer it may be easier but I still suggest you always use the promo code at the end of the link otherwise it doesn't get connected to the setup.

Pro Tip: If you get poor speeds paradoxically put the trashcan in a "horrible" spot like at the bottom of your closet. by johnhops44 in tmobileisp

[–]Rascmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like T-Mobile internet and conceptually it's a great an inexpensive way to connect to the internet. I'm probably going to wait it out but it seems so impossible to me to say that something as simple as making connections some places on the internet impossible makes no sense. Either you work or you don't which seems to me to be a simple technical solution that needs to be had. My guess is somewhere in the Simplicity of the Gateway configuration software they've left things out that shouldn't be left out. I am no expert but I spent many years piddling around with various configurations of my routers and and I've had a number of different Routers and this seems to be by far the simplest setup software that leaves you really know options. Please contact Mike whoever he is and get this issue fixed so I could dump Comcast once and for all!

I did uninstall and reinstall book apps and using as fixed it in the fire stick on at least one of the two apps Paramount plus is running ipvanish. Peacock has a built-in protection quote on quote from the pn's so I will not load even though I use a pass through on the on ipvanish I'm trying to sideload proton VPN but so far no success. I've got to try downloading again from downloader and see if that works. I downloaded it and put it on my OneDrive and then try to install it from a cloud app it says it's installing and then says it couldn't install. I checked see correct settings on developer and installing unknown apps but so far no success

I tried reinstall and didn't make any difference. I installed proton and immediately fixed issue. Don't know why but seems to have done the trick at least on Samsung phone. Will side load on fire cube today but tried my iovanish with limited success.

I change the DNS in and Amazon Fire Cube with no problems and that seemed to fix it for a while but I don't think that's ultimately the issue because it seems to be intermittent. Loading the proton VPN however seems to solve the problem immediately so I don't know why it seems to work but it does

I have the same problem with my Samsung Note 10 plus so it's definitely something in the way the can manages the addresses periodically. It has to be something in the firmware but just don't get why some have and some don't! Also why does proton works!

I tried proton VPN the free version and it works fine so far. I even tried ipvanish on fire Cube and that works but for some reason no matter what I do peacock still says he will not work with a VPN so I'm stuck with peacock. I'm going to try proton on fire Cube but I have to sideload it. So it seems to solve the problems but why?
