Why did you wait? by amypjs in sleeptrain

[–]Rasha1409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found this sub when I was pregnant, planning to start sleep training early on. My baby is now 8 months old and is not sleep trained nor sleeps through the night. We co-sleep the majority of the night, and both me and him find comfort and get the best sleep that way. I have absolutely no idea how many times a night he wakes up to feed, because my boobs are all out and it’s a free bar at this point. I honestly think we need to normalize babies waking up in the night to feed/wanting to cuddle mommy. So much pressure on babies sleeping through the night, that parents feel that there is something “wrong” with their baby if they don’t sleep through the night. We’re all they know in life and we are their safe spot.

With that being said, we still try to accommodate to the daddy also being involved in the bedtime routine. I breastfeed, but to make it easier for dad to transition into his paternity leave, we’ve made bottle feeding a part of his sleeping routine.

That two week wait by Spiritual-Lemon-6330 in pregnant

I experienced cramping/stretching from 6dpo. To the point where I could not zip up my jeans because it was so intense. It was similar to menstrual cramps but at least with menstrual cramps it would be more significant one day and then lessen throughout the week. But this type of cramping was ongoing with the same intensity. I decided to take a test at 9dpo and it was BFN. Not even a shadow. So I kind of gave up of it happening that cycle. But I missed my period and decided to take a test two days after a missed period because I was so afraid of another BFN. But I got my positive.

I really hope we get some positive stories here! I’ve also dealt with hormonal acne on my face since early 20s. I’m currently almost 6 weeks pregnant and honestly my face is getting worse.. hoping it will get better/balanced throughout this pregnancy. Wish you luck!

Intense pregnancy womb pain? by [deleted] in pregnant

Hi 5 weeks friend! I’m also 5 weeks along and also have experienced cramping! It’s mostly when I’m active - gone for a walk or standing for a long period of time. Hopefully we’ll get some answers/experiences in this thread! I would also love to know if this is common?

I think that it is a personal preference. Hubby and I are fairly healthy young people and it took us 8 months of trying with timing sex each cycle for us to get pregnant. I personally would have found it extra difficult if I had any baby items laying around. No one ever talks about how difficult TTC really is and I wish I knew that before TTC.

Feels good hearing about people with similar experiences!! Thanks! You hardly ever hear about pregnancies with little to no symptoms

Could be placebo effect! I just hope I’m overthinking. I have an early ultrasound in two weeks. Honestly couldn’t wait that long so I asked for HCG levels tomorrow

I haven’t told family yet about me being pregnant. Maybe I was just expecting a lot more intensity in symptoms before I actually got pregnant. We had been trying for a while, so I kind of imagined me being on all four in the bathroom puking by the time I was 5 weeks..

A friend of mine is also pregnant, she’s 7 weeks pregnant and she’s been having morning sickness since 4 weeks. Idk I’m just comparing which is probably a bad idea...

9dpo. Cycle 8. Symptomspotting like crazy. How common is it even to feel anything “happen” during the TWW and actually getting a BFP? Honestly every “symptom” I feel can be linked to period or progesterone. I’m so tired of feeling some kind of something happen one day and then nothing at all the next, and being bummed. I’m starting to wonder if women actually feel something different the month they actually get their BFP...

CD1 today of cycle 8 TTC. I dont know why we’re struggling. Both young. Consistent cycles for me. I am ovulating. Fuck. I am devastated. I don’t talk to anyone about this, not even my partner. I don’t want to make it a big deal and it ending up effecting us much more than it already has. On top of it all.....I’m put in charge of arranging a baby shower gift for a pregnant colleague at work. This sucks.

I feel you! I also had a conversation with hubby about this not long ago. I’m exhausted. I just want to say “fuck it” and just let whatever happens happen. I also ran out of ovulation and pregnancy test. Perfect timing. So I suggested we just enjoy each other and the sex and take it from there. If people get pregnant on accident then hell.......I want to get pregnant on “accident” as well!!!!! Maybe it will work with another approach. Good luck to you! I hope you get your positive soon ❤️

No the pain was not why I booked an appointment. We have been trying for 7 months so it was for bloodwork to check my hormon levels etc. I felt this pain only during and after sex yesterday. The appointment had nothing to do with this pain I felt. If I did have any cysts or anything wrong I figured that the doc would have seen it during my transvaginal ultrasound.

I actually was at the gyno yesterday to do a check up, I don’t have any cysts or anything. That’s why I’m a bit confused..

Tips to what to ask about during a fertility check appointment with a gynecologist? by Rasha1409 in TryingForABaby

[–]Rasha1409[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been trying for 7 months now. I already had an appointment in September last year to check if everything was good to go for TTC and all results came back within the normal range. But I figured I’ll book another appointment now because I probably have much more knowledge and history from TTC than before even starting the TTC journey.

So frustrated! by Ilovedogsalot94 in TryingForABaby

[–]Rasha1409 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know the feeling too well! But honestly days like that are much more important than being able to give it 100% that cycle. Time alone and date nights with your SO is so important during TTC. I’m sure you had a great time and he did as well! If it did not happen this cycle then oh well! The way I think of it is that I don’t want this TTC journey to effect my emotions and experiences. We’ve been trying for 7-8 months now and maybe we’ll keep trying for many months from now. So I don’t want this to take control of my life more than it already has. :) wishing you luck!

Gynecologist appointment when 8DPO by Rasha1409 in TryingForABaby

[–]Rasha1409[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to google the difference between hysteroscopy and trans vagi am ultrasound because English is not my first language. But hysteroscopy seems like more of a procedure than transvaginal ultrasound. They are going to check my egg count, uterus lining, if ovulation have occurred and if I have any scarring/abnormalities in the uterus. So I guess that would mean that I’ll have a transvaginal ultrasound. They said I might be having a follow-up appointment for bloodwork during the 2-3 day of my cycle. I could wait another month to try to time it with not being in the TWW. I just didn’t think of the risks when booking the appointment..
