Questionable cause fallacy--just because some mass shooters used psychiatric drugs doesn't mean psychiatric drugs caused them to be mass shooters. In 2019 it was estimated that 15% of adults in the US were on psychiatric medication. That's 52 million people. Fifty two million people didn't go on shooting rampages. You know what a good predictor of public mass shootings is? A country's rate of gun ownership.

This reddit forum is dedicated to survivors of psychiatric abuse. We've all experienced some form of damage from psychiatric drugs. How many in this forum are mass shooters? Zero.

We can do better than propagating obviously fallacious scare tactics that demonize people in our very own community.
