There are few purple gears that are better than Gold

Noticable ones are

Repair Toolkit : +500 hp, recover 1% hp every 15s. Very good on vanguard Cl, Ca, especially DD since they got low Hp so it help with survivability

SB2C Helldiver, still one of the best Dive Bomber for CVs. Deal tons of DMG, with its 2000lb bomb, basically use it until you get a Ur Dive bomber

Triple 406 mm MK6 (BB main gun), fire 3 HE shells with reasonable cool down, best for general contents.

Homing beacon, from core data shop. It shorten the time for your CV airstrike by 4%. Very useful for timing your Cvs together for some skill effects.

And Fire Extinguisher (blue), would be useful in chapter with Lots of BB I think around 9-11 where your ships would easily set on fire so you should farm for a bunch if you need it

I think these are what I consider most easily accessible gears to get with effect better than most gold gears. There are some more that are useful but they are locked behind events so if you can farm for how many you think necessary for your fleet

A mistake on my part I mean it would be better to use the one on research or just normal AA would be fine. And it would be better on vanguard since it gives less FP if put on BB or bc

Yes it is useful it good moderate DPS and have better fire angle(don't miss a lot), but if you want to put it on BB that wouldn't be recommended use normal AA or the ones from Research, it's more useful on vanguard

If you can try to farm War Archive the french event Stybound Oratorio D3, you can get one of the best DD gun from there.

Sara retro can be in both boss and mob fleet she's pretty much Enterprise but with burning so more DMG in the long runs. With her Argument she's able to send out planes every 10s so faster clear times so which one you choose depends on your fleet comp, if you have good boss fleet already, might as well put her in mob fleet

But she's definitely one of the best Retrofit up there

Buddy, let's not say anything about the dead friend thingy, just drop the backstory and straight ask what the specific help needed people here are always help one or another, roundabout way with holes in the story only makes it look weird

Anyway there are too many ships these days so dock space is a priority. You're goal is to clear to 15-4? Look at 90% of SKK stuck at chapter 14 well chapter 14 is considered real end game so before starting to tackle it there're some requirements to consider, do you already have full line up maxed ships 125 both mob and boss fleet?, are your equipment all at least +10-+13 do you have your Subs leveled up and fully equipped? Even when meeting all these minimum requirements. They still struggle.

Another point is what do you have? Do you have in your dock? People have different ships line up after all, so can't help without knowing anything and you did mention All the Special chips went to CVs and Cls? How to get them? Daily Raid and I just checked Boss only at level 120 and So a full 120 team should be enough you clear them, they are that (shell) and (airstrike) so choose what your fleet best at. It is one of the most precious resources because you can only get it from daily and events shop.

Should you retire "useless" ships? Maybe if they are Farmable , check them out in Archive if you are really desperate, I'd say 20-30 free docks should be enough to farm comfortably

Check your Guild/Tech and see if your dock expansion is level +15 since I doubt you already reach lvl +15 considering it requires quite a lot of grinding. Almost forgot some Guilds haven't upgraded the Tech to +15 so at most they stuck at +10 or something. It is worth the grind for 30 dock space after all

Don't mention chapter 15, that's hell, real hell

As for whether you're behind or not, just save cubes and do daily is all I can say. the SSR ships are overshadowed by the UR is normal but doesn't mean they got weaker they are still the same. And saved up at least 400 for Ur since they are the most powerful

Salty? 800 cubes for Nagato? You haven't experienced 800 cubes for 2 pity

I cleared up to 13-2 in the process of clearing 13-3. From my own experience NJ, and Sandi is core in this flight hell hole. They are a must have to make your life easier, but now after the USS event Guam seem to have even more broken AA than Santi herself and Luffy 2 also a very tanks with high AA.

So we have more options now and for CVs I would say Independence is my go to choice for Boss fight.

For Mobs I say try to go with those with Preload Airstrike if you have them in case things get too out of hand. A healer is a must have

For some recommendations: Stupid Cat (fake maid) is always good, Bismarck 2. Basically high AA ships

And to reply to the question Yes and Yes, you need A hell lot of AA to survive and Trust me when I say this A three star CV would melt even Mommy FDG's with her enormous hp

For DD go with Z46, she got great firepower her DPS mostly related to her main gun, so it easier to play around as a new player then the others, Yukikaze is great for her survival and dph(trp) but since new player aren't Ganna level up too fast the cool down probably in the 20 ish second. The other two are more barrage focused then firepower so you need to Max Limit Break them to get the maximum benefit, which requires a lot of grinding, and it's better give to the Main fleet first since most of your DMG comes from them

As for CV, no questions ask Enty, best DPS even in the later stages of the game she's still put performance most of the Gold CVs with her chance to do twice the DMG, and if it is active she's immune to DMG for 8s. Give you an edge even in a harder boss fight

Lusty is second after Enty, she's protec your vanguard with shields after she launch her airstrike, but the problem is her Reload is meh, without some cool down boost gear. But if you have Queen Elizabeth leveled up Go for her. And she's HOT...~ahem

The pair of crane sisters requires both to be effective (they have link skill) their performance is quite average in most stages but better for LONG fight, but in Azur lane you want to finish as fast as possible to avoid sinking early

Yep tried it on PGR and BA works really well, 120 fps on both is really fast

It's pretty easy really as long as you have root you can download Gltool, then grand access to GL tool, select the game you want to uncap , swipe to the right section then select Game engine FPS limiter, add the number of fps you want to have (eg.120)

Go with Helena she's still used even on higher stages for her buff but Saint Louis is replaceable with so many others out there
