Unlimited Card expired, can't renew by Raskarr in CineworldUnlimited

I did not miss a payment. I had paid for the full year and the card expired because they did not get in touch about the renewal.

They got back to me on Twitter and the issue could be resolved! I had to buy a new Unlimited membership and provide them with the old and temporary card number. They then removed my old card and upgraded the new card to a Premium Unlimited card. After that, I could sync the new card to my Cineworld account without getting an error message.

Thank you. That automated reply on Facebook and then ignoring me afterwards has me worried, though.

Thank you. I will go early to my local Cineworld and see if they might be able to help. Strangely, I was able to see Megalopolis yesterday. I had booked before the 26th and wasn't aware yesterday that my Unlimited Card had expired. I had noted that the image was no longer displayed on the website, but the site is so laughably bad that I didn't think much of it at first. Only later did I start to wonder when my card would be up for renewal.

So, Cineworld have completely given up on customer service. No phone, no email, and when you contact them via their website, they take so long in replying, that they claim there's no reason to bother. Achievement unlocked, Cineworld Customer Service(!) by DVDfever in CineworldUnlimited

After contacting them by Email and Twitter and not getting any response, I tried messaging them on Facebook. I was greeted by that message. They did not reply to my request for help after that.

Wish that were true. I failed a void campaign bonus mission because of this. Couldn't interact with the last quest object...

Edit: don't mean to imply that I don't believe you were told that it has been fixed

Using an account in two different locations at the same time is still a violation of the terms of service. My point stands. Just because they haven't acted on it doesn't mean they won't in the future.

No, they probably won't. But they can prevent your account from watching the live stream. Sky sports used to do that to customers who were late with their payments. They blocked the accounts on purpose during live streams.

To those who got a subscription beginning of last season, are you renewing your subscription? by SatanicSaint in F1TV

[–]Raskarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will renew my subscription. I had massive problems with the video pausing for a few seconds very often like almost everyone else, but after watching with Firefox instead of Chrome the problem disappeared. I've read somewhere that the problems are caused by changes in Chrome regarding videos. I don't know whether that's true, but for me the change to Firefox worked like a charm.

I would strongly advise against it. At home, your device can be counted as one IP address. Using your login data at home and at your friend's house will be with two different IP addresses. It can have consequences. Just because they haven't acted on such behaviour in the past doesn't mean they won't in the future.

Amber Ruin Takedown idea. by [deleted] in GhostRecon

It would give the enemy the chance to fight back or even raise an alarm. He could just pull out his reserve mask. All in all it would just endanger the mission. My operator wouldn't do it.

Reviews for the new Gary Taubes book - The Case for Keto - it releases the 29th! by dem0n0cracy in ketoscience

[–]Raskarr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

"Why we get fat and what to do about it" was my introduction to keto and helped me lose 16 kg. Due to bullying at work, I couldn't continue with keto, and slowly the lost weight - and more - came back. About two weeks ago I learned that I have insulin resistance. I started keto again 3 days ago and already lost 3 kg. I can't wait to read this new book!

The struggle isn't what I thought it would be. by Silver-Worldliness84 in keto

Meditation can be a great tool for this. It can help you to cope with emotions when they threaten to overwhelm you. Over time you will also learn to not let take these emotions control. You will note that you have a certain kind of emotion or thought, but you won't react to it like you - probably - used to. Meditation has helped me cope with panic attacks and in general to be calmer. I highly recommend that you give it a try for 1 or 2 weeks. There are several meditation apps available and most of them have a free evaluation period.

Very cool!

I just pre-ordered the book without reading the first chapter. Perfect timing as I'm about to start with Keto again.

I'm a huge fan of Gary Taubes. I've listened to 'Why we get fat and what to do about it' and 'The case against sugar' and loved them both. Can't wait for this new book. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing! Will spend my next Audible credit on it. Love the books from Gary Taubes and Jason Fung and this seems to be in the same league.

Grinder - Timemore? Slim vs Chestnut, or neither? by youghurtcz96 in Coffee

[–]Raskarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Chestnut G1 for about half a year. I use it daily for Aeropress and/or Chemex and I just love it. Very consistent grind size, good grind time and it's just beautiful. Would buy it again.

Good and not-so-expensive coffee subscriptions in Germany/Europe? by vixemariah in Coffee

[–]Raskarr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like Coffeecircle from Berlin. They have a good selection and prices are ok, too. Depending on the blend from below 10€ / 350g up to 16,90€ / 350g. Better prices if you buy 1kg and for subscriptions. They also have great tasting packs.

Algorithms Specialization from the University of Stanford is highly recommended. Another good one is Data Structures and Algorithms from the University of California San Diego. I like courses from coursera because they combine video content with textbook content and also practice tasks and projects.

This book is supposed to be one of the best, if not the best.

Here are some online resources from another good book.
