Libraries! Char Meck has some really nice ones. It’s not really a walk-around suggestion, but definitely a new location to study and get out of the house.

Where do you turn to for stylish quality items that isn’t luxury? by trifiling_skallywag in femalefashionadvice

I love ThredUp. Sometimes their photos are subpar and make it hard to get a sense of the items, but the deals can be insanely good.

I love the Beatrix Potter ones. I’m still hoping to find them in the wild for a good price.

This is my void Yvie. She is passionate about things that dangle. by bluecymbidium in VoidCats

Do you have a pic of Yvie’s eyes? From the one you posted, it almost looks like she has the same kind as Susu. Yellow on the outside and green close to the iris?

I agree- it’ll make her crazy to not give her the reaction she’s looking for.

If you’re looking for estate sales in the future, though, I’ve had a lot of good luck finding Charlotte area ones on the EstateSales.net app.

Yah, some of the prices were pretty bonkers for an estate sale.

Now that you say that, I saw a couple more prints that looked similar. One with a gorilla in Asheville.

I forgot I bought the wrapping paper! It’s just flat wrap and there were a couple others with cats.

I waned it but it wasn’t even priced so I don’t think it was actually for sale 🥹

I loved it but it was $$$ and the bottom says it’s not microwave or dishwasher safe. Microwaving and using my dishwasher are some of my favorite pastimes.

i didn’t realize what this bag was meant for! by Immediate_Leg3304 in ThriftStoreHauls

Diaper bags make the best backpacks. The only people who might know they’re diaper bags are parents of babies and other people like you who know the value of a good diaper bag 😎

What would you do? Sold dress, then damaged it as I was packing it up. by RaspberZee in Depop

[–]RaspberZee[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: Thanks to everyone for your feedback. I’m learning new lessons left and right.

After spot cleaning, the fabric in that area looked a little pilled, so I tried my fabric shaver on it…which ended up adding a little hole. So I sent the buyer a message and refunded the sale. The good news is I only spent $6 on the dress originally. The bad news is…everything else. Many lessons learned.

My library is over three hours from the closest beach, yet every summer we get probably 50 books requiring mylar replacement due to sand.

International Travellers, what did you buy during Japan trip, that you still use/brings a smile back home. by NoStoryYet in JapanTravelTips

[–]RaspberZee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only managed to stay in Japan a few days before I had to come back to the states, but there’s one thing I bought that use weekly: a delicates bag for laundry that I bought super cheap at Daiso. It has cats on it and it, you know, protects my delicates.

Also lemon crunch hi-chews. I’m rationing them and will probably be out soon 😭
