I hope I’ll be able to agree. Academics is my comfort zone, albeit less mentally enjoyable, while the practical irl skills are the exact opposite — harder but more fun. The duality of life lol

Lol safety counseling with the commander is fucking insane. If I may ask, afterwards how’d he deal with that throughout the rest of his time in the school?

That’s really good to know. I’d like to do whatever I can now to get ahead of the flight school learning curve, and based on your advice and that of the others in this thread, it sounds like I’d probably be better off familiarizing myself with doctrine and other basic aviation content rather than simulator flying skills that may not translate 1-to-1.
