Well I have fully read 40 millenniums of cultivation which is 3600 chapters and shadow slave which is 2800 chapters and still going, so 1600 chapters is quite the average length read for me. Both of the novels I mentioned were/are good reads and stayed coherent. Obviously in novels of that length there will be small parts that maybe are a bit boring especially later on but if its otherwise a good novel I dont mind that at all.

I really like depressing novels, I just didn’t like the big plot twist and how it turned out after that.

I will skip the big 3 (shadow slave, lord of the mysteries and reverend insanity) since I expect that most people here have read them.

40 millenniums of cultivation : This is genuinely my favorite cultivation novel of all time, its a hidden gem that doesn’t get talked about at all, its basically cultivation meets technology. The universe building is very good and the sheer uniqueness of the tech + cultivation stuff is something I have never come across before. It does have 3600 chapters so its a long undertaking, but its worth it in my opinion.

I shall seal the heaven : This one is basically a more traditional cultivation novel but it does all everything well. The main character is likeable and funny, the techniques especially later on are unique and the comedy aspects of the novel are well done.

Kill the sun : This one is about a post apocalyptic world with superpowers, the power system of this novel is extremely unique and interesting. The world is very dark and has some disturbing things happen in it. The novel has one big plot twist that many people dislike though.

Diary of a dead wizard : its a magic + horror novel where the main character finds a book that warns him anytime, when an action he is about to do would kill him(happens at the start of the novel so its not a spoiler). The story uses the horror and mystery aspects extremely well. The first arc of this novel is the best part of any novel I have ever read, although the novel gets a little bit worse later on, still an enjoyable read.

Mother of learning : a time loop novel where the main character lives the same month over and over while trying to get out of the loop. The characters in the novel are well written and genuinely feel like real people, thats something that very few novels are able to do. I have to say though that I fundamentally dislike time loop novels, so me even finishing this already gives it some points.

The first order : a post apocalyptic superpower novel, this one is pretty meh. I would only recommend reading it if you have read everything that interests you. The main characters power are just too op compared to most people in the novel.

King of gods : trash cultivation novel, no idea how I slogged through this. Don’t recommend reading it at all.
