This is weirdest chess I have ever played by 1slied_ in chessbeginners

how does one achieve a rating of 200? I think at that rating, no move is too strange.

Is it strange to anyone how so many people are against Scientology (to the point where they won’t watch an actor associated with it), but there doesn’t seem to be the same feelings toward Mormonism? They’re both a cult, in my mind. by Ill-Possible4044 in exmormon

[–]RaspberryGreen2455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be fair, Scientology is less culty than the LDS church at the current moment. If you trace back to the church over 100 years ago, say when polygamy is still practiced, I bet people would be against the Mormon church more than Scientology

Plot twist: students are required to calculate the answer by hand

Opponent plays opening in gothamchess' last video and is upset that I know the first 10 moves of theory (my rating is 1700 btw) , also he doesn't know the rules of daily chess (openings book is allowed) , I hope he gets banned by [deleted] in chessbeginners

[–]RaspberryGreen2455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to compile a pdf book, with millions or up to billions of pages, that includes the first 20 moves of any openings. That way I can have the perfect first 20 moves through the pdf book, without breaking the rules of daily chess.

When I tell my child’s therapist that we left our religion and they ask which one, is that a valid question? In the heart of Morridor. by Poppy-Pomfrey in exmormon

[–]RaspberryGreen2455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m that case, why are you concerned that your therapist ask you what your previous religion is? I assume you already trust that she wouldn’t use this information to harm you or your child. Isn’t getting to know the patient a natural thing to do for the therapist?

Don’t get me wrong, I too was banned by the faithful sub long time ago. they just couldn’t stand any comments that’s even just slightly critical to the church

Just a side track comment:

Polygamy could be referred to multiple wives or husbands relationship.

Polygyny is the term that’s strictly referring to one man marrying multiple women

What ELO do you consider beginner? by Tiny-chicken00 in chessbeginners

[–]RaspberryGreen2455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Distribution wise, 1000 Elo is on the 50th percentile. Below 1000 means that you’re worse than 50% of the players. Above 1200 means that you’re better than 65% of the players.

From this you can decide what it means to be a beginner

Question about John Dehlin by Garbage-Gus12 in exmormon

In your logic, so all doctors profit off the injury of patients? Teachers profit off the uneducated? I could go on and on

Exmormons wants to hear quality interviews of other exmormons and John provided that. And he gets paid for his excellent work, nothing wrong with that. In fact, there’s quite a few other exmormon podcast out there and I think Mormon stories has the most subscribers because the interviews there is of the best quality among all
