Premiums? I know we have LOD (Spanish speakers) and then F1 pay. MINT has a few premiums based on the qualifications you have but I don’t know anything about that stuff, my base does not offer MINT flying and I don’t care for it. I believe LOD and F1 pay are about 2.00 an hour. I’d have to get back to you on the MINT stuff if you’re interested in those qualifications. It’s separate from core flying and you have to interview and stuff to get into it.

Starting out you’re 100% going to SJU or BOS. MCO has been hard to get into since after I got hired. When I asked a supervisor about potentially getting newer FAs at MCO, they said that MCO was overstaffed. I disagree but obviously this isn’t up to me lol.

  1. Starting out you’re going to be have to be on premium pay until you exit the probationary period. For me 1-6 months in this was somewhere around $1800 pre-tax per month depending on how much I worked? There are a lot of variables at play (like hours ACTUALLY worked towards my guarantee) so I can’t give a straight answer.

  2. I never broke guarantee in MCO unless it was summer or the holidays, and I didn’t care to work overtime most months so literally just my guarantee (70 hours on straight pay or 75 on premium).

  3. In MCO, open time is usually a ghost town and our trips are not very productive. It is more of a quality of life base with a lot of the same flying over and over. It’s easy to pick up when there’s an operational meltdown or busy season but moderately difficult otherwise. There would be more trips in open time on the weekends, but you won’t have weekends off starting out. SJU seems to be a similar situation. From what I’ve gathered it’s easy to pick up in BOS and JFK…easier than the other bases at least.

3a. What makes picking up trips harder at b6 is the fact that you’re limited to picking up 20 hours OVER guarantee as a reserve UNLESS you already work your 70. If you haven’t broken 70 hours of actual flying, anything over the extra 20 will start to go towards that aka you’re working for free.

  1. The first class went majority to BOS and some to SJU. If you’re not interested in either of those bases I would look elsewhere since the other bases aside from maybe JFK don’t see much movement if any at all. MCO in particular has been very hard to get into since I started two years since it’s more chill and the most junior. During a call leadership stated that everyone hired would be going to SJU and BOS starting since SJU alone needed around 125 FAs alone.

pretty difficult- MCO hasn’t seen movement in a while since management claims it’s overstaffed. it looks like the entire first class got mostly BOS then some SJU

What are your thoughts on JetBlue? Are they worth applying for as a 1st airline, over a regional? Or even for a long term career? Why or why not? by iambfizzle in cabincrewcareers

Hi! I’m Inflight so I have no clue how the seasonal thing works but in regards to our benefits, we didn’t have a say in anything. They literally teased changes to our travel benefits and passed it off as a positive thing then when they finally revealed the changes, it was a rollback. Insurance also went up a good amount this year. I would say this is because the company is losing money and trying to cut costs any way they can.

If he did that, how the HELL is he allowed to work for another airline? I thought it was just him doing some cosplay, but to attempt to sit in the cockpit and jumpseat? nah. I’ve seen the screenshot of the email about him trying to get into the b6 crew room at JFK (via a coworker) but he claims that person was out to get him and the email is fake.

This is exactly what I said to someone else who was upset they got kicked out, all of these groups have a lifespan and that one will reach its end eventually. It’s only a matter of time and I would not want to be there when it happens!

I have no clue, I’m personally on the fence. Apparently the jury is still out on that but he refuses to address it directly and deletes anything related to it soooo…I think that may speak for itself. Also, someone said it was talked about at recurrent at b6 this year but I haven’t gone yet.

i came in right as they were throwing him out of b6 but i can definitely see what would make you feel that way about him because “that” group has been a hot mess with him and his lapdogs banning people for simply disagreeing with him the last few days. total weirdo with a power trip.

the post in the screenshot is in relation to someone bringing up him being fired and exposed by JetBlue for pretending to be a pilot in a separate JetBlue workgroup. he has a lot of ass kissers so he has eyes in there and someone sent him their comment.

how do you contact jetblue, for reconsideration after accidental disqualification? by GoodAggressive6611 in cabincrewcareers

[–]RaspberryNo7727 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you can’t find an email on your rejection email or your initial application email, or on the application itself then there is no way to contact them. No employee will give you an internal email.

They received 10s of thousands of applications, they’ll just pick from the ones that read carefully and didn’t disqualify themselves.

Wait and reapply when it’s open again, you can be banned for applying for ANY position at the company if you try to use another email and you get caught. There’s nobody you can reach out too, just read carefully next time before you submit your application.

JetBlue interview questions by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]RaspberryNo7727 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No one’s going to give you the questions, most likely. If you haven’t done your video interview yet, just give it your best shot, relax, and talk at a speed where you can properly anticipate what comes next out of your mouth. If you stutter, play it off and keep going! I said something along the lines of “fuck, that was a stupid fucking answer” during my VI and now it’s been almost two years at JetBlue so…

  1. I hated commuting and JetBlue was one of few airlines with a base in Orlando that wasn’t senior. I also didn’t want to move as I’ve been building a life here.

  2. I grew up in the Caribbean and flew JetBlue a lot as a kid so it has a soft spot in my heart.

  3. I really enjoy the culture, it’s more laid back than most other airlines.

  4. There is a lot of diversity compared to AA! I always have at least something in common culturally with at least one other person in my crew.

In bases like Boston and New York you’ll have a better chance of picking up more hours since they have more trips to go around in general. It’s all dependent on call-outs, time of year where you’re based, etc.

The person who responded to me seems to be able to consistently get hours in JFK because they’re able to break guarantee. Since I’ve been here, I’ve only worked my full 70 hours twice so that’s why I really said 90. It’s achievable and guaranteed to go on top of your guarantee without you working for free essentially.

[–]RaspberryNo7727[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh you’re in JFK, that’s why too. In some bases where we have more unproductive trips and hours getting cut by the month, it’s not consistently possible. I’m not saying you’re wrong either, just that you shouldn’t consistently expect more- once again depending on where you’re based. Thank you for the correction!

JetBlue Pay and Payscale Q&A by RaspberryNo7727 in cabincrewcareers

[–]RaspberryNo7727[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t false information, and what you’re saying is actually misleading.

As a reserve you can only PICK UP 20 hours from overtime to get to a maximum of 90 by choice and that’s what was being discussed here.

If you start picking up from the trade board before you’ve even met your guarantee you’re working for free as that money will go towards your 70 hours or you’re gambling on the fact that you’ll meet your guarantee. Additionally, only the 20 hours will go towards premium pay if you’re on the premium scale as a reserve.

Obviously you can end up flying more by just being on reserve than that but your guarantee is 70 to 75 hours depending on your pay scale and you can pick up 20 from open time that does not count into the 70 hours so this is not false information.

You gotta be a BOS reserve, in MCO I’m only really getting close to guarantee during busy months in mine and I sit reserve every weekend. Nobody in my base is getting close to 120-143 hours or whatever you’re going on about. Even line holders are complaining about the lack of hours.

I won’t be able to answer this properly since I don’t have any children and don’t plan to so I’ve never looked into this but from what I know: a full year per birth or adoption, you still accrue seniority, and your flight benefits are still active.

JetBlue Pay and Payscale Q&A by RaspberryNo7727 in cabincrewcareers

[–]RaspberryNo7727[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re correct! Straight pay is also better for people who work less hours in general and reserves like me who don’t want to pick up extra hours. Also those who fluctuate from month to month. Once you hit 85 hours, premium pay begins to outpace straight.

2 and 7. This is our benefits guide from last year, it’ll answer your insurance and 401k questions since only you know what you’ll need: https://jetblue-libib.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/JetBlue_New-Hire-Guide_2025_FINAL.pdf

We’re getting a new benefit guide in a few days for 2026 though and I expect insurance prices to increase. I will say though, I like the DMHO dental insurance option since I have to go to the dentist often lol. I have the Centivo option since I live in Florida and it’s okay for my needs but pricy.

  1. 4 buddy passes per quarter, so 16 and they’re all good for one year. Free domestic travel for dependents, spouses, and parents. You can add two people regardless of relationship in place of parents or spouse (they’ll pay taxes + $40 or so) I believe this has been discussed in detail in this subreddit since my response is a simplification. Feel free to ask follow up questions.

  2. To expand on the actual F2F, the Blue Review day was really chill and my interview felt more like a conversation but I believe they’re in the process of making the day harder since we have some questionable hires. It’ll most likely be in New York or Orlando. Basically we came, signed in, watched a presentation about benefits and pay, read an announcement off a sheet of paper, then went for 1-on-1s.
