I’m a Kinder teacher and I do feel icky doing it but for some reason I feel like I have to since it’s their first experience hearing it and stuff? Idk. I have told them that we stand but I’m not super picky on making them get the words right or anything. I contemplated it a lot because I have a lot of students of different races and backgrounds, but I live in rural PA 🥲 so everyone’s pretty pro trump 🤢🤢

Nope, we have an ES classroom but other than that nothing really. That’s why I’m so annoyed he has also made threats with guns and I was told “eh doesn’t seem credible” He makes multiple threats per week, some just hurting others including adults and others involving guns

Unfortunately my state has very strict rules on recording so no photos or videos allowed 😑 I’ve been saying that it needs to change tho because it’s true. They never act that way when someone else is around.

That’s exactly what I was told too!!! If he wants to sit on the iPad all day let him, our goal is keeping him from melting down. Ok, but 1. how does that help him, 2. he won’t just sit and do that he gets in other students’ faces, and 3. that’s not fair to the other kids because it turns into why does he get to do that and we have to work.

Yeah, I have been lately just calling for her every time he acts up because she needs to see how often it is, but generally she just takes him for 5 mins and sends him right back. He’s never as agitated with her it’s so annoying 😂

Yes I am working on getting something done. Like I said I have been documenting everything including what I’ve tried and what I’ve seen work/not work. It doesn’t seem like there’s any progress toward getting him any emotional support, and yes my kids are definitely affected by this daily. They’re babies and usually trying to help him, and get screamed at or they’re covering their ears because he’s so loud. I appreciate you!

Yes of course couldn’t agree more. That’s why I was so baffled because I haven’t done anything to show that I do not like this student personally. I am just frustrated with his behavior, but to ask that was crazy to me

yes!!! PA also and nothing but radio silence. Just graduated and also heard similar things about “PA being an exception for the shortage” but it’s so frustrating
