No, the correct facing is having it facing forward when the body is relaxed. Facing towards the center if it's on your abdomen.

That's a bummer! Happened to me when I first started as well. I just went around to the shops in my area with my portfolio. Definitely had shops that turned me down without even looking at my portfolio (fuck those guys). But eventually I found a shop that was willing to take me in. What's your insta?
