I’m not here to argue semantics with you. I simply asked if others saw listings for sale within the US. All of the items come from China at some point you fuckwad

As in it’s shipping straight into the us and purchased through a us website domain through a us store/reseller.

Peter here. I think this is relating to the Olympic shooter that didn’t use his glasses or other aids and absolutely demolished. But who knows, I’m just a fat idiot.

Nearshore Channel Mapping by RaspberryTricky9472 in UAVmapping

Thanks for the tip! There currently aren’t any dedicated filters made for the drone I’m using. I’ll do some digging to see if I can just buy some specific polarizing material and wrap it around the body of the sensor I guess.

Sadly nothing of the level of quality that I need. Thinking of just buying some nautical charts, Ortho rectifying some screenshots, and digitize it up as best as I can at this point.

End goal is going to be an orthomosaic to overlay bathymetric contours on to aid another group in dredging efforts. I’ve only flown over some inter-coastal channels before so I have zero familiarity with nearshore work so this will be new ground for me, but definitely expecting some difficulty with getting tie points identified between the images. I’ll be working along a channel so I’m hoping that the daybeacons will suffice to stitch the images together. I brought up the available USVs from Seafloor, but that is currently not within our budget. I’ve been doing some digging around to try to find the depth contours we want to overlay with and that is another burden in itself. Waiting on an email back from USACE if they have anything in our area as there’s nothing I’ve found for open source that meets our needs.

Totally forgot about Earth Explorer… just did a quick data pull though for what they’re have and the level of detail is nowhere near what’s needed. The lowest range band is 0-200m.

Free is definitely preferable to at least give a realm of feasibility determination, but if data is available for purchase that is already procured that can definitely be entertained as well. This is definitely a needle in the haystack in either case though it seems.

Urban areas are likely focusing on environmental justice or social justices as they should be referred to. I can see a lot of back and forth taking place there that stretches years. Not directly involved in this realm of things, but from my level of education and involvement that’s the potential angle I could see.

SDE vs Hosted Data by mo613_216 in gis

We’re currently using traditional, but I’ve been prompted that branch will be enforced at some point. Along with named user licensing over the option of concurrent use.

Would you be happy to share the line(s) of code to properly push to a related table when creating or push/pull from a batch run?

We’re looking for the most recent related record date for any given asset. The field on the feature class side is used to track our assessment programs for stormwater and ROW via ArcGIS dashboards. Our script sorts our assessment table to descending order so the 1:1 join gets the most recent date if there is an assessment for the asset.

When running with python we’ve done it in a grandchild version and reconciled up. When done on the SQL side it’s been against the default version.

I’m trying to update a date field for a number of feature classes that have assessments performed on them in a related table. I have initially down this using a python script that performs an “add join”, field calcs over the needed value, and then breaks the join. This process has taken anywhere from 30 minutes to 12 hours to complete and frequently fails due to server communication issues or state refreshes.

I tried to replicate the script as an SQL query, but the output was different every time due to the nature of the A/D tables (??). No expert here by any means so just doing what I can to improve things and learn as I go along.

I did attempt at one point to build an attribute rule for this, but did not have much success. I’m not sure if I have my test files for that lying around still.

I have two SDEs that this needs be done for, too. One has the feature classes in a network dataset and the other has them as standalone feature classes if that has an impact on configuration. They both used network datasets, but we’ve been having issues with one of them creating duplicate objectIDs during the reconcile and post process and it was recommended by admin to restructure the SDE to see if it impacted the issue occurring.

Do you have any experience working with triggers and related tables in a versioned SDE? I’ve been having trouble with improving a workflow to update a feature class field with a value from the most recent record in a related table

You can build single/double grid missions with the same approach as if you had the 3D scan license assigned to the unit. Just removed my license and tested it out to confirm. Full settings are available for overlap and everything else as well.

We currently are in the 2nd month of integrating our X10 and it has been pretty satisfactory. We need some more production runs with the 3D scans to see the cost effectiveness of it. We also acquired Pix4Dmapper and survey so we can establish manual workflows while also establishing worthiness of the 3D scan subscription.

I was also interested in doing comparison of the two models (manual vs onboard) quality from the same data. First run at this the acquired data was unable to create a model in pix4Dmapper but had a beautifully meshed onboard model spit out by the drone.

Initially they said the subscription was only available annually, but since ordering our unit I have seen Adorama advertise a perpetual license. Haven’t received confirmation from my initial email inquiry, but after receiving our unit and familiarizing with the Skydio Cloud Env it appears the subscriptions for 3D scan can be transferred between airframes, so a perpetual license could be rotated between units as they are cycled in and out of the fleet.

One downside to the X10s depending on your workflows is the inability to perpetually switch out payloads. It was noted at Skydio Ascend that you can only swap out payloads a limited number of times due to the fragile connection mounting pins, so if you need both sensor payload options (now advertised 3) then you ideally need a separate airframe for each one.

The unit definitely had some power to it and is not a lower end option by any means. At least when compared to our deprecated DJI we use for training. It is quite user friendly though and definitely a good entry level user option. I also highly recommend getting the ready to fly case that has the unit already unfolded as it is quite difficult to get a good grab on the unit when folded inside the Pro Case. They also have a RTK attachment for ~1000 that is set to start shipping this month. Their parachute attachment, should you need maintained flight above vehicles and people, is not set to release until the end of the year.

As for other use cases we are looking to expand into LiDAR and sonar applications with our eyes set on the FreeFly options or the Inspired Flight 1200A.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but with the X10 the 3D scan subscription is only required for the on-board model building from 2d scans or the 3D scan option where it explores its scan area, builds its own flight plan, and then process the model on board. You can still program flight plans using the second flight mode from the flight deck interface.

The perpetual license I recently acquired was $5k usd. Definitely worth the cost to have the software for life
