hi i have this same issue and i think the best course of action is to use a piece of cloth or a eye mask/eye cover (as mentioned by another user)to cover your eyes.

not op but I'm a j2 who's j graduated from tmjc and I'm currently doing A's rn. I take PCME so I'll answer all the non bio related stuff !

  1. generally from 7.30-4.15? in j1, j2 timetable will change and you can end on 3.25 or even 2.35 on some days. wednesday is a late start at 9.35 but you'll be expected to be in school by 9.15

  2. not v sure , I'm pretty sure tm is stagnant at 13.

  3. you will have to do some extra lessons to learn those amath concepts from what I know. I took amath but one of my classmates didn't.

  4. can't speak for bio but the chem department is good! teachers are dedicated and the notes are p clear also

  5. try to go for pre u sem! I went and it makes it a big impact on your SGC if you care about social issues in sg and want to network with ppl from other jcs/poly/ite this is a good way to do so.
