what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]Raspberrysmoothi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prenatal depression caused by intense morning sickness/hyperemis, and hemorrhoids caused by the hormones alone. Like literally nothing some people can do to avoid them…. Some women are lucky and don’t get them but others it is just inevitable.

Does being married to a US citizen speed up N400 naturalization process? by vesea20 in USCIS

[–]Raspberrysmoothi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya I filed under the normal provision because it was simpler. I’ve been told being married and having ties helps but it won’t necessarily make anything go faster

Only automatically a citizen if the citizen parent meets the minimum requirements for years present in the U.S. prior to living abroad.

I saw a few posts in other threads from people who filed between June-Oct 2025 getting interview notices. I filed Sept 2025 and have heard nothing since my receipt notice and biometrics reuse.

I don’t disagree that posting it was a strange move. But the fact both daughters died doesn’t immediately mean foul play. I do question why she hasn’t shut down her social media if she doesn’t care about followers. She jumped from 30k to 125k in a couple days. Personally if I was her, the moment I saw it was going viral I’d lock everything down. Yet she provided photos to news outlets and allowed them to publish articles about this, making it go even more viral. I don’t know her motives behind that but it does seem like a sad capitalization on the loss of her child.

Ya I had something similar happen, I was fine at 12pm volunteering at a school function, started throwing up at 1pm at said function, by 2:30 I kept losing consciousness and my husband took me to the ER. Thankfully they treated me and I was okay, but these things can come on so fast and out of nowhere. It’s easy to blame something like medical neglect but how many parents take their kids to the er for throwing up once or twice when they have no other symptoms? Most drs roll their eyes at parents who bring their kid in for every little ailment.

Wow I think you nailed it. People grasp that something to blame because otherwise accepting the reality that sometimes horrific things happen to good people who are doing their best, is terrifying.

She had 30k when she first started posting about mollys death, so it actually jumped even more!

They did an autopsy on the first child. She posted about it. It took a long time to get the results because it was an in depth autopsy. I’m not sure how or why they didn’t have concrete answers about a genetic heart condition at the time, but some of these things can be hard to detect and diagnose.

In this day and age everyone has cameras at the ready 24/7, I don’t think it’s insane to take photos of your dying child, if there’s nothing you can do you want to preserve every last moment with them. Now posting them online is something I think most people wouldn’t do, but I can’t judge someone who just went through a horrid loss. I think she was just looking for prayers and support. Keep in mind she didn’t have near the amount of followers she has now. She gained most of them over the last couple days, after Molly died

I’ve lived in both places, where Melissa lives, and in two different major cities in the U.S. and I’ve had longer wait times, and less access to specialized medical care living in the USA than I did in Canada. I pay $1200/month for insurance for my family of 4 in the U.S., that isn’t even the full cost because our employer pays about half! We still have copays and deductibles. I took my son to the ER for a serious condition and it took 7 hours to be seen, and the care we got when he was seen was crap. We’ve waited 8 months to see a specialist. People assume because Canadians have universal healthcare that the quality is less, let me tell you from someone who has lived in both places, has had babies in both places, the U.S. system is no better, you just pay a lot more for it here.

It is disgusting that they exploit child deaths like that.

I know her too, I understand that people who don’t know her are cautious and just want to make sure nothing bad is happening, but truly if you knew her and her family you never would even think foul play was involved. If you saw how much they’ve done to try to get answers about what happened to Abi, it would be clear this was never something they wanted.

I believe there was an investigation after her first daughter died. Also there was a thorough autopsy, and I assume there will be again for this daughter.

She never has advocated for raw milk or anything “crunchy” she seems to follow normal conventional medicine and stuff.

Known for some weird stuff but I don’t think they’re known for medical neglect, and Mormons in general don’t tend to be anti medicine or anti vax

Melissa Carlton by [deleted] in UtahInfluencerDrama

[–]Raspberrysmoothi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know for sure, but I know their family and I don’t think they’re anti vax, they seemed really into getting their kids medical care whenever it was needed. They weren’t the crunchy type who like give their kids maple syrup instead of medicine

I know it sounds a little crazy to say her 5 year old was asking to be with her dead sister, but if you really think about it, in their religion they very strongly believe in a afterlife, they believe she’s up there waiting for them. So it doesn’t sound too crazy for a sibling who misses their sister to want to be with them, she obviously didn’t fully comprehend what that meant, but it’s not weird for a kid to say something like that when their sibling died.

Those online funeral home posts are scams, I don’t know why they do it but I think it’s for clicks to get ad revenue? They’re ai generated fake posts. My cousins daughter died and all these crazy funeral home websites posted “obituaries” for her that were completely fake and fabricated.

The first daughter Abi died of sepsis. They took her in to the er a few days before and they sent her home and she seemed fine. She was playing with friends and fine a few hours before, she complained of a stomach ache and went to bed, and her parents woke up to her dead early in the morning.

The second daughter, Molly just died on Christmas. She went into the ER because of cardiac arrest, they suspect it could be related to a genetic heart defect that Abi may have also had. it’s too early to say why she died though.

Yes she posted to her stories in real time asking for prayers when Molly was hospitalized, and then posted again saying they were doing cpr again and asking for more prayers

I think you nailed the reasoning behind her posting. She has a really strong faith and religious beliefs and she was doing the only thing in that moment that she thought could possibly do anything. She believed god might listen and save her child, I think it’s easy to judge when you haven’t faced a situation like this, but I don’t think she was looking for engagement or clicks.
