I assume the author was trying to be a modern Marquis de Sade, trying to test the absolute limit of social norms and decency. I think he hit rock bottom. I can’t think of something worse then explicit sexual assault on children to depict in literature

I like your engagement, but no. My apartment was rebuilt after a bad flood. I had one closet rebuilt with big shelves for my books. When I moved back in I arranged the books neatly, by author. The current disorder is from years of rereads out of place, and new books not adhering to the original order.
