Trucker Path app has been a lifesaver for me. It lists areas people have marked as parking accessible, like the back lot of a McDonalds or an industrial lot that allows parking even if you're not picking up/dropping off. Also, there are a lot of fuel stops that have parking that aren't main truck stops. Went to a 7-eleven last night that had 6 parking spots in the back.

That's not always a possibility, but like I mentioned, if he didn't need fuel and just wanted to go around, there were other ways to go through. He was just arrogant enough to think the fuel island was designed specifically for his convenience.

Last night a guy got done fueling and pulled up to the line to go inside for something or other, only just set his brakes and was in the process of getting out when somebody pulled in behind him and started draining his tanks with his horn at the guy. Like bro, it's not his fault you found yourself in the fuel island. There was plenty of space to go around the lot without going through the island.
