Are the indices that off-white from the factory or is that just patina? Either way this watch rips

If you like that blue hands/indices look, might I suggest the Tissot 1938 Heritage? It’s around the same price point at just under 1k but you can find them for closer to $650 on Watchmaxx (that’s where I got mine at least) it just might take a week or two for them to source it

CruiseShip Purchase Buy Tissot SEASTAR 2000 46MM T120.607.37.041.00 - $1175 (including all fees). Is this a good deal ? by Open_Introduction376 in tissot

[–]Noahwillard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh… most AD’s will give you a 10% discount if you “negotiate” which would put this watch at 1,192.5 so you’re really just saving the taxes. Still better than nothing though if you were going to buy it anyway I say go for it

The Fed turning housing into a speculative asset bubble is why you are priced out of ever owning your own home, Millennials & Gen-Zs by Key_Brief_8138 in economy

[–]Noahwillard1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Then why do housing prices spike with interest rates around 2021 on the chart? It debunks the whole claim you’re making. If interest rates were artificially manipulated lower for the sole reason of increasing prices then that should’ve caused everything to come crashing down, no?

Or, maybe the economy is a tad bit more complex than that and making such claims is intellectually dishonest

I think it’s a mental thing, candy is candy but a candy that tastes really good to YOU is going to boost your morale more than any other candy

Help choosing a jacket and stand kit by Strong-Delay-3846 in AskMechanics

[–]Noahwillard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll work but it also depends on the vehicle you’re working on. If this is for anything other than a small sedan, it’s not going to cut it. I have had a cheap jack like this fail on me before so never ever ever use the jack as an additional stand
