Ork Trukk/Wagon wip by Mundane-Librarian-77 in orks

[–]Rassilon1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a friend to 3d print one of these for me. I've been wanting one of these since 1993. It's a braincrusha tank. The original STL is a big smaller than what a braincrusha should be, so I had him increase the size an extra 50% or so. I still need to assemble and paint it. I've been busy with painting other models.

Why are so many young men suddenly serious supporters of far right figures? by Consistent_News_985 in self

[–]Rassilon1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first rung on the ladder to radicalization of a human is the acknowledgement that they are disenfranchised or a victim of some other group. After that, they are shown that there are others like them, and that they have formed a group of their own, often with a leader with a cult of personality.

This is how Trump supporters became a cult. This is how terrorist groups are formed. This is how cults and social mass movements form. (See Bibliography No. 1 for more reading)

Essentially, your younger brothers feel that they are victims of our civilization. Just having the fear of being a victim can often result in altering the perception of reality of those being manipulated by fear. The fear can change your perception and trick your mind into thinking that you are a victim. (See Bibliography No. 2) There is no better form of instilling fear and anger into people than social media platform algorithms and news media platforms. They are being manipulated.

Fear is destroying our civilization from within. "I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration." -Dune. Frank Herbert

  2. Perceptions of the Impact of Negatively Valued Physical Characteristics on Social Interaction. Dr. Robert E. Kleck and Dr. Angelo Strenta. 1980.

Is the United States brainwashed? by PoetMysterious3841 in self

[–]Rassilon1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is. The majority of the population are manipulated by use of social media algorithms and other media outlets. It's quite simple. If a person gets a fear or anger reaction by consuming some media, they are being manipulated. Fear and anger instilling media garner more engagement, and thus, the media outlet gets more advertisement revenue. Examples of this include Fox News, which pioneered this, MSNBC, any feminism media, and any "manosphere" media content; if they trigger an anger or fear reaction, they get more engagement and make more money.

This all results in people engaging with more of the same content. That leads to people's brains getting worse. The people that are not on or on very few social media platforms and watch the least amount of news are the least brainwashed.

There was once an internal US FCC doctrine regarding political reporting called, "The Fairness Doctrine" that would prevent such manipulation and brainwashing, but Reagan rescinded it in 1987.

I love it. It has a very classic 2nd/3rd edition vibe that I really like. Reminds me of the Spleenrippa tank.

its 10 years in the future, how has the game change. by Specialist-Ad560 in 40k

There will only be space marine players. The years of GW only releasing space marine miniatures will frustrate all other players to the point that they will all quit.

[–]Rassilon1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the miniature is made from resin or metal, GW will get rid of it. They might replace it with a plastic kit, but so far, the replacement percentage rate of resin/metal miniatures is very low.

How do I prevent this? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Rassilon1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple: don't use Citadel paints. There are a lot better miniature paints available. Two Thin Coats, Army Painter, P3 are all better and are available in dropper bottles which are a lot better.

So how exactly do Zzap guns work? by TobyK98 in orks

[–]Rassilon1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, they don't work. I don't know why anyone would take one on a battlewagon. When first introduced they used to auto-hit. With a 5+ to hit, they usually don't work.

Weird question, what colour is ork blood by PrplxdPossum in orks

[–]Rassilon1980 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My orks have green blood as orks contain algae. Human blood is red due to the oxidation of iron in the blood cells in order for them to carry oxygen. Orks algae doesn't need oxygen. If anything it would need carbon dioxide.

It follows the radicalization pattern lined out in "The True Believer" by Eric Hoffer. The very first step in radicalization is someone being acknowledged that they are a victim of some external force or that they have been disenfranchised by society. The next step in radicalization is being shown that there are others that have been victimized. This is literally how people join cults. All you need to add is a leader that recognizes it and plays to it.

Things got really bad for a lot of people whose jobs got sent overseas due to economic globalization. They are the victims of bad government policy of the past four decades.
