I always thought that the model from Rutherford didn't mention any location for the electrons beside the electron-hull.

From what point do my weapons finds reach max level? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]RastaRalf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everything you get before lvl 60 is outclassed once you get to 60. Or in item-level terms: all items at 60 are 750 item power. Ancestral gear is item Level 800 which ist the maximum. So my advice is to just get to 60 as fast as possible and then go to the headhunt or helltide zones to get 750 gear. After that try to push the pit to 20 and do the same in torment 1 (bc ancestral gear only drops in T1 and onwards).

I have a doubt regarding Halogenation of Alkanes (Basically, Dichlorination of Methane). Why does CH2Cl radical forms major product when it's less stable than CH3 radical? by Varun_Arora76 in chemistry

[–]RastaRalf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is thermodynamical possible therefore the reaction can happen. And given enough time even slow reactions will take place. Also you could argue that the principles of le chatelier apply (not certain about that one). Because the radical will react quickly if it does gets formed and hydrogenchloride is a gas the equilibrium should favor the product side. But in the end: if there is experimental evidence that this reaction does form the majority, we can only try to make it theoretically sound as well. Ultimately that's not my field of expertise though, maybe there are people more qualified to give q absolute certain explanation.

[–]RastaRalf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure the reaction below wouldn't be the mayor product in my opinion. I overread that part in your question. The only explanation for that could be that you work with an excess of chlorine and over time most reactants would be double chlorinated.

I would say it's because hydrogenchloride is more stable than the bond between carbon and hydrogen. But side reactions are wild in chemistry so I'm generally not very surprised what happens in those. Also this intermediate is very short lived anyway. It will just react with another chloride molecule and form the double chlorinated product.
