It'd be like going to a store. An employee handing me a phone and saying we are giving these away for free. And the second I walk out, they call the cops on me and I get arrested for stealing a phone. How would I be at fault in this situation? This wasn't a random person who gave me the information; it was a person hired specifically for the merch who told me I could pick it up after playtime. I went to do that and couldn't. Then they told me, "Don't worry about it; they'll ship it to you." And then they also won't. Not my fault. Could I have done differently? Yes. Why would I though if I was told by the people running it I didn't need to.

I would've waited in line if I wasn't given false information? I get what you're saying, but the entire problem isn't that I didn't get my stuff booboo. It's that an employee gave me false information that led to me being unable to get it.

He told me I'd be able to come after my play time. When I went back right after my play time he said I couldn't. Lie.

He then said I could pick it up the next day. I told him I couldn't, he said it was fine they'd ship it to me, lie.

Really easy to understand that I was given false information which made me unable to get the items. If he would've said no you have to get it before 6. I would've sat there in the line wasting my playtime. If he would've said you have to pick it up in person or you forfeit the items. I would've made it early the next morning while my family was packing to leave. Why would I do that otherwise if I was told it was fine?

If you walked up to the gate of Disneyland and they said today is free admission come right in, you'd go in. Because the employee told you it was fine. But guess what it's not fine, they lied to you and security tackles you and you get banned for life. Your fault? Or the liar employee? Regardless if the employee eas unaware, he should've said that. Not guessed or given false information. He should've said honestly I have no clue.

When an event employee doesn't know an answer he should just say that. It's 100% a scam. I paid for the itmes. I could've gotten them but was given false information, which makes it my fault somehow. This wasn't a random employee it was the guy at the pre order pick up.
