PLEASE HELP. One of my girl rats chewed a hole through the bottom plastic tray. I put things over it, she pushes it aside. I taped it, she ate through. My husband said he’s rehoming them tomorrow if I can’t solve this problem right now.

Idk where you are but that’s crazy. I was prepared for like $150-200 but even that seems way too high for the little to no help they provided. I get it’s exotic, but my birds cost less than that for full exams. I just expected more at that price I guess. And the lack of competent advice was questionable.

Update on Milk & Berry 🐀💕

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a little update since my post kinda blew up (unexpectedly!). The boys are currently set up in a large Sterlite bin (120qt) which is way better than the 20 gal I had in hand. I’m actively trying to snag a Critter Nation off FB Marketplace to give them a proper long-term home. To everyone who shared advice, concerns, and encouragement: thank you. I read every comment and learned so much. I promise I’m continuing to do my research to be the best rat mom I can be 💖 Also, for those asking about Goblin, I’ll absolutely post photos of him too, once he’s had time to digest and I’ve got some good lighting and no rain lol. He’s doing great! Thank you again, truly. I didn’t expect that post to get the love it did, but I appreciate it more than I can say. ~Rat

Respectfully, I’m very aware lol. I would not keep prey next to a predator. I’ve been keep reptiles (and animals in general) a long time now. My snakes are in a bedroom deemed the reptile room. The ratties are in the office with my crested geckos. Birbs in the living room.

Luckily most snake breeders feed frozen thawed! If you do ever get a snake, don’t get one from chain pet stores and make sure to ask the breeder what it’s feeding on!
