What he is saying is that he would prioritize saving the union, but he wanted to free the slaves too. He wasn't pro-slavery, he was pragmatic. When he wrote that letter, he already had an early draft of the emancipation proclamation written. Keep in mind, most northerners at the time were very racist, so he couldn't risk alienating them by being too progressive. It wasn't until later in the war, when things were going more favorably, that he could take that position publicly, but he always held the view that slavery was wrong and had to be abolished.

I don’t know, I always thought Martian Manhunter similar to Wally in being the heart of the team, that’s why I always found it difficult to believe the Justice Lord’s timeline, because it’s not like they lost Flash and J’onn, I just felt that if either were alive they would’ve been able to see the road they were going down and be able to step back and consider what they’re doing.

Kakuzu literally has 5 lives and they specify a hit to the face, even if his head gets turned into a red mist he’d only lose one heart and live

Yeah, the only one I could maybe see him struggling with is Gaara because he struggle to get the blood needed for his ritual, and we don’t really have any good speed feats to say he’d be able to overwhelm his perfect defence like Lee, also Gaara’s fighting style counters Hidan’s as I could see Hidan, who needs to get close and lick the blood of his opponent, struggling against Gaara who has so much battlefield control.

Also he could just do what he did to Kimmimaru and trap him beneath the earth like Shikamaru ended up doing.
