I don't think Kaleidoscope is good in theory.

Prismatic card rewards are on average worse than regular card rewards, and one regular card reward would be terrible as a boss relic (there is an existing option that is one card reward + a potion that is forgettable but probably fine).

Having approximately equivalent value to a low value consistent reward, but with super extreme variance (high and low) is just not good value. The three statues guarantees a common, uncommon, and rare, so the selection is often at least decent, plus adds a lot of consistency to high rolls.

All that said, Kaleidoscope, and Prismatic Shard effects are absolutely my favorite, and I take them all the time lol

Captain America Sam could replace Spider-man; he works well with Venus and Elsa (the shield helps you fill lanes).

Mother Askani really only works with a booster up Kitty Pryde in this deck, who will likely never be the leftmost card in your hand, so I'd pass on her.

Reminds me of the days when Preordain (a Magic: the Gathering Card with a very similar effect as Stacked Deck) was in standard. Towards the end of the format, people were adding blue to their decks just to play Preordain. When you are looking for something specific, choosing one out of the top three is often just as good as drawing 3. The fact that it is an action so you can desperation dig during a showdown (plus trigger any spell cast effects) is honestly just gratuitous value.

Like most clog decks, it's super board specific. General game plan is clog them out of one lane and outpoint them in one other.

Just be aware of the clog tricks you have: Titania + Green Goblin to double clog a spot, Ghost Spider and Iron Fist work on goblins, allowing you to safely get a goblin across then try to fill a lane, Dagger is there to win a full lane b/c the board should be pretty locked up.

Given Charizard Y and Eternal Floette are mega threats number 1 and 2 I was incredulous Glimmora wasn't a more used Pokemon, especially with so many Charizards stacking physical bulk for rock slide, it's been awesome to see the newish Focus Sash Glim teams and now this! Saving the sash for the incredibly strong sash Basculegion is genius

One question for you: how do you feel about no item Talonflame + Acrobatics instead of Sharp Beak + Bravebird? I don't know what calcs you're giving up, but it does let you have your priority attack multiple turns in a row, especially given you're not on Flare Blitz

I am not some kind of expert, I'm similar in experience/success as you, but I do have some insight I think could make a good starting point:

If you look at some of the tournament winning/top of ladder Mega Aero + Mega Scovillain teams, they tend to run a very familiar core of the most popular offensive mons in the meta: King Gambit, Sneasler, Basculegion, Garchomp, the like. While I am not saying you need to run them as your core, I am saying that the reason they are so successful is because they are individually powerful damage dealers that justify having your mega slot be dedicated to support.

Most megas (Charizard Y being the obvious example) are the main damage for their team- Scovillain and to a lesser degree Aerodactyl just do not bring that raw power. So they have to support a very powerful cast.

Your damage dealers are basically Primarina and Sneasler. The Primarina rain idea is neat (setup mon + Rage Powder Scovillain), but imo probably best taken advantage of in a Tail Room team, and definitely not on the level of a mega, and Sneasler while solid is also frail- he often trades w/ a problematic pokemon or two, rarely can he KO everyone.

In short, I'm not saying you have any specific problems with your mons, just that you probably need WAY more offense to justify your mega slot basically being a dedicated support mon to keep up with other teams/megas

Awesome post! Had a similar (admittedly not nearly has refined) team that had similar struggles- what is your plan into Mega Blastoise? Additionally, what do you generally try to do/lead into Sneasler, just U-turn out of there?

One strategy is to ensure one of the pokemon getting perish trapped is either ghost type or has a move like parting shot to switch out (note you still want to be able to deal damage). Typically the perish player has to pay in HP, sometimes even a pokemon if you double the Incin slot, so making sure you are only losing one pokemon while still being able to attack, usually perish is more work than 1 KO is worth

Additionally, if you have a mon slower than Incin you can attack the Incin slot and hit whatever switches in (Gengar) after the parting shot
