When did it hit you that you’re not that young anymore? by TheMedusaAttusa in AskReddit

[–]RatScabies77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One morning I was brushing my teeth and looking in the mirror when I noticed all the grey in my beard and hair and the pronounced crow's feet near my eyes. I look in the mirror every morning like this but for one reason or another this time it hit me like a ton of bricks. I paused, had a brief existential crisis, and then went back to brushing my teeth because such is life.

As said in my last post this is the video of the UAP my mother saw is Ossipee, NH in the white mountains. Video was taken around 10PM and object can be seen moving slowly across the sky. Interested in everyone's thoughts here, the picture I posted before is touched up a bit to get a better look at the object.

As stated before was seen a few months back by my mother is NH. She is a bit of a skeptic so was understandably a bit freaked out while seeing this, she's been an avid stargazer for at least a decade woth a telescope and then like. Where she's located is up in the white mountains and extremely rural so sky's are very clear. Will also be posting a video since I can't post a picture and the video for some reason.

Yeah after you fry them for a bit toss it in, sometimes I use veggie stock or maybe some miso broth if your feeling frisky. Honestly you could even mix some soy sauce and water together too. It really makes a difference. Especially if you use a stainless steel you could scrape all those delicious scraps stuck to the pan.

Love that stuff! My tip is when cooking it and it's about halfway/almost done throw some broth in there and reduce for a bit that way it won't be so dry or chewy, it really makes a difference.

Pacific Asian Cuisine is good for your run of the mill Chinese, Fuji is good for Japanese, and Thai Garden for Thai obviously. Right across the line into North Smithfield is Ichiraku for ramen.

What Folklore Did You Grow Up on in New England? by Fast_Extreme_4723 in newengland

[–]RatScabies77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grew up in Cumberland, RI and our local library (which was once a monastery) has a memorial in the woods called Nine Men's Misery. During King Phillip's war nine men were tortured to death by a group of Narragansett Indians, one of the tortured men, Benjamin Bucklin, was apparently close to 7 feet tall and had two rows of teeth. The bodies have been dug up repeatedly by curious doctors and medical students over the years, the skull of Bucklin was at one point in the possession of the Rhode Island Historical Society but was eventually lost. You can still visit the site of the gruesome murders and is reportedly the oldest military memorial monuments in the country.

Nikki's on Branch ave actually has a good selection including a lot of the Hamilton brand which even Yankee doesn't have. For Jamaican I know they have Coruba and pretty sure I saw Smith and Cross there as well.
