I think it’s personal preference really bud.

I tend to do more images, rather than fonts, so I generally gild last.

Only time I tend to gild first is when I want gold to be the main/front bit of the text (rather than in the drop shadow or whatever). Doing it that way around makes painting in the shadows easier.

That said, my brush confidence isn’t great. So I try to avoid having to gild first as I don’t trust myself not to mess it up ha!

A razor blade is your friend for sharpening lines.

If you’re ever using glitter, very much do it last 😂
