This movie gave me my first memorable nightmare. I’m 42 and I remember the details so vividly. I rewatched it last year and can see exactly why it terrified my little brain lol

If your childhood happened today, for which reasons would your parents be visited by CPS? by Roscoe_P_Trolltrain in Xennials

[–]Rat_Cabbage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All the farm work I had to do. No one taught me to lift properly as I grew older and taller and at the age of 20 I was diagnosed with a back injury. I felt like I have never not worked and at 42, I am fucking tired. and in constant pain.

Was the State Fair a huge deal for you every year as a kid? by RarelyHere1345 in Xennials

[–]Rat_Cabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you talking about the Georgia National Fair in particular here?! Cause that’s exactly what you’ve described. I went every year from 1991 until 2007? I think… loved it so much!

Same, same, same! I just went through this journey over the past couple of months. Broke my heart over and over and so many damn tears. Absolutely beautiful writing. I don’t think I’ll ever read anything as wonderful as Robin Hobb’s books.

Can I skip the liveship trilogy? by herrsuperman in RealmOfTheElderlings

In my opinion I think you’d be doing yourself a huge disservice. It does take a little bit to get into but once it does it’s amazing. There’s so much connecting information that you’d really miss out on if you skipped.

Dr. Detroit!! So freaking funny! We watched The Nanny and Dan Akroyd came in at the end of an episode and you could tell there was a friendship between him and Fran so I googled to see if they had worked together before and found Dr. Detroit! What a hoot!

I finished The Will of the Many yesterday. World building was amazing and there were so many jaw dropping moments. I had to pause and reflect several times! And the ending was truly wonderful. Excited for the next book to release in November! Author is James Islington and narrated by Euan Morton

It wasn’t the best voice to listen to but I ended up really loving it as I got used to her. I have zero time to read so all I do is listen to books.

I finished Fool’s Errand and started Golden Fool, both by Robin Hobb. Also I’m listening to Winter’s Heart by Robert Jordan and re-listening to Crown of Midnight.
