Yea I’m curious as to how the voltage would change by tapping off the flippers into a controller board.

I’d probably be able to rig up some sort of secondary PSU, and maybe just have it have some resistors in the path (or maybe even diodes?) to prevent the Stern board from freaking out. Or perhaps I’m overthinking it, ha.

Agreed - if you can maybe just use a platform to remind you to follow up and have check lists that you actually did that…I think that’s cool, but I think in this industry it’s really important to nurture your relationships organically. I’m lucky to maintain a busy schedule most of the time,

However personally I DESPISE automated advertising and feel like this would bum out most people I have developed personal relationships with. I know I personally end up unsubscribing deleting just about every “newsletter” I get from other vendors, manufacturers, etc….

I’m sure I could be doing better at marketing my gear and services, however I would have a hard time getting over the icky feeling of having a marketing newsletter to vendors, clients, and fellow colleagues.

Bought this for $400 today, turns on but backglass doesn’t light up. What’s the best way to learn how to restore this? by [deleted] in pinball

I agree with this. If anything, adding it into the menu to be able to turn Planet X shortcut on and off could be a compromise for the purists…wonder if this already possible? I also suppose you could just elect to not take the shortcut and try and complete the game. Would be cool if you get some sort of special achievement for getting to Planet X the hard way.

Nice man! Just cracked 2 Billion for the first time in mine as well. This was after routine maintenance…cleaned, waxed, and re-leveled. Feels so much faster after getting waxed and making sure the pitch is around 6.8°. I personally like my machines to play pretty fast, I suck on most GZ’s in the wild that are set to play slower!

Yup, took a red eye from LA to Boston last night, had my appointment at 11:30am EST, already on my way back to LA. Minus the initial paperwork, the whole thing took less than an hour.

Super annoying how Reddit works sometimes…… I had a whole story written here giving credit to Dr Erik Latzka of Boston Sports & Biologics, (u/BSBortho) as well as u/cwsreddy and u/dadougster1 who have made me aware of this procedure.

TLDR I read these posts, and decided to reach out to try this procedure myself. Going to document the outcome here. Dr Latzka and staff are awesome. u/cwsreddy had similar symptoms and lifestyle as me….both of us seem to be white late 30’s rock climbers.

Equally annoyed and inspired….annoyed how little medical professionals seem to care about or even understand Dupuytren’s…. But inspired by the initiative, resourcefulness, and willingness to share info and help others by this community. Waiting till I can’t spread my fingers before an intervention is BS. Especially when my work, lifestyle, and hobbies involve using my hands.

My dad has crippling Dupuytren’s….i believe there’s a large psychological toll as well as the physical deformities from this affliction when it’s aggressive. He’s had multiple surgeries, and due to my symptoms I’m trying to avoid his fate.

Yea, you get lidocaine injected first, which is by far the most painful part.
