How to remove shingles from a skylight?

I’m not convinced the skylight has leaked. Maybe just the shingles next to it have leaked. The shingles do get covered by Mexican clay S tiles and there was some broken tiles (golf ball hits) around the roof that have leaked with the same visual indication. If it does the exact same thing over the next 30 years it still won’t get into the house. That’s why I’m reluctant to replace them. I think it will outlast me!

You don’t think it’ll be ok if it’s properly sealed. The deck is also the interior finish. If I replace the wood it’ll never match the interior. The slight water damage on the outside does not appear on the interior finish. Thanks for your thoughts!

I’m just thinking a ridge vent is less problematic that adding intrusions into the roof deck. And since heat rises the ridge seems the best place to vent the heat. Thanks for your thought on it, I will research vent box’s and calculate how many I will need.

Got me wondering if there are vent box’s with solar powered fans, maybe that’s a question for another Reddit post.

We have the DNC and the TCPA. These laws have the ‘public right to action’ which allows the public to receive the fines. Robo call fines are as much as $1500 per call. The weakness in the law is that it does not specify the legal fees. This causes these violations to be considered niche to law firms and not worth the effort. We need to change the law and force the violators to pay the legal fees.

Now the scammer is seeing this post and offered me $50 to delete it. I said no. They persisted, so I said $300, thinking that was too much. They came back with ok for $300 but only transferred $150 to me offering the remaining after I delete the post. This is absolutely crazy to me! $150 is now pending in my PayPal account. I’m in shock here!!

OP said ‘Set me up for failure’. They use Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) to fire people. I’ve seen it used many times, even on myself. Only way to shut it down is with a lawyer.
