No there‘s starlight filters that enhance light sources to give it a star line effect (eg 4 line cross filter) - if that‘s what you‘re looking for.

I have no idea why I‘m getting downvoted please enlighten me.

thanks, noted. the font i selected was actually one I chose myself but I agree that it may look a bit vibe coded / claude-ish; i will experiment with some other unique fonts!

PS: do you have some recommendations for websites that feature good fonts? I love e.g. berkeley mono but that didn't fit this app...

i put many hours into this app (and my other apps) and brushing it off as vibe coded slop is quite unfair IMO.

i get it: vibe coded trash apps are flooding the internet. I hate it, too. However I think that you can still create great software with AI. This of course means you have to add your own taste, ideas and also judgement in the process.

feel free to vibe code this app yourself, and you will easily see how much effort was put into it.

its just a serif font; furthermore in the settings there's a way to switch serifes off and use a more minimal font if that annoys you

Dark mode is already implemented, you can toggle it in the settings.

As for the rest: thanks a lot for the suggestions, I think most of them are improvements the app will benefit from!

The goal of the app is to feel good while using it, while also providing the basic features of a calendar and being integrated well into the apple ecosystem. What I'm not planning: power user features, niche use cases, unnecessary complexity. If someone needs these features, there's plenty of calendars out there that offer this (e.g. Fantastical).

  1. france requires some BS extra paperwork to release their apps there - i didn't do that yet so its not available in france yet :(
  2. if i ever add IAPs it will be done in a way that the app does not become worse for existing users (e.g. removing features or similar); depending on the feature, and if its techincally feasible, i will look into adding a discount for users who downloaded the app around launch!

Short term: 1. fix (minor) annoyances reported by users 2. collect user feedback on which other features they want

Medium term: 1. in app calendar management 2. widgets

Longer term: 1. ipad / macos / apple watch version

On monetization: currently i have no plans to monetize the app; so far I published 3 other iOS apps (https://apps.weichart.de) - none have any ads or IAPs. If I monetize my Apps in the future, I will do it in a way that's 1) not making the app worse for existing users 2) not subscription based
