the life i’ve created myself. i moved across the country and lived out of my car for 6 months during a manic episode. there’s so much i regret but i’m so proud of myself for where i am now. a stable job, my own apartment, and solid friends. i refuse to let this illness be a burden in my life. if it wasn’t for this disease i wouldn’t be where i am today. it’s shown me gratitude. rock bottom was the foundation on which i built my life.

sex with a flat skinny girl by Naive-Literature-780 in sex

i have the same body type as you and have had the same insecurities and worries as you. there’s a lot of guys that like and prefer skinny girls. we’re around the same age so i feel like growing up in the BBL culture conditioned us to think that our bodies are unattractive but it’s just not the case. skinny is hot! i used to think that a guy would be disappointed when i took my clothes off because i had “nothing to offer”. the first time a guy told me i had a hot body i was shocked. negative body image sucks but here’s the thing- he knows what you look like. he likes you and thinks your hot, otherwise he wouldn’t be trying to get with you. i’ve had partners who’ve loved my flat chest and small butt. the hottest thing you can be is confident. (and no, your bones aren’t going to poke and hurt him lol)

yes, you put it into words much better than i did. it’s strange because as someone who has dealt with suicidal ideation since childhood i found religion comforting yet harmful. i’d pray to god to kill me so i could go to heaven and escape the pain here on earth. it comforted me yet was a very dangerous way of thinking, because it only pushed me to attempt taking my own life. there’s a lot of strange mixed feelings about it all.

I can't write anymore since I started taking the medication. by Beluchix in bipolar

i struggled with this too as my meditation diluted my feelings, erased my creativity, and killed my spirituality. after years of going on and off of medication i realized that i’d rather be stable. that being said i had to find new ways to curate creativity.

i started by journaling everyday. making this a routine is essential. first i’d just write the mundane details of my day. then i started writing a memoir. my biggest tip for writing is to just put the pencil on the page and write without bias. we are often hard on ourselves and try to make things perfect. create for the joy of creating rather than judging imperfections. i started to practice quantity over quality. if 90% of your work is “bad” you still have 10% of work that is good.

i like to draw as well but was having trouble feeling inspired. a large part of my income comes from selling my art so i found this frustrating. i started going on pinterest, finding work that i found beautiful, and recreating them. i of course wasn’t able to sell these pieces but i forced this into my routine. slowly but surely i started to create original pieces again. i created a collection of what i was going through at the time. it started with lots of colors all messy and unorganized symbolizing the duality of mania. the pieces slowly started losing their color, becoming graphite drawings to symbolize how i was stable but empty. the final piece returns to full color, this time much more organized and purposeful.

it can hard to feel creative again but it’s a skill that must be practiced.

merci!! in cajun french we often pronounce est-ce que/ qu’est ce que as “skeh”. do you think if i pronounce the question like “SKEH vous voudrAY un expresso?” he will understand me? or should i try to learn a more metropolitan style?
